Phx Anyone planning to go to CopperCon Sept. 5-7?

This a valley Scifi/Fantasy convention held every year at the Embassy Suites North. While it's not as big as Comic Con, last year was still a blast.

I know the DSG is planning to attend this year and set up their props, though I don't have any details on where they'll be in the con itself.

I'm planning to attend as Spike, is anyone else interested in going? Wolfwood?

Remember that this is our chance to suppor the local Convention scene.

 

I'll be there on Sat for sure and probably Sunday.
And yes, we really need to support the local convention scene. It can only get bigger.

 

I think that Scott and I will be there, if we don't have to work.

I kept checking the original thread to see if anyone other than the DSG was going to come.

I'll make sure to wear my PFF shirt, just like we did at Hexacon. One of these days I'll make the time to make a costume...

 

the only day i can make it is sunday, since the ASU astronomy event is on friday, and jenn has her company party on saturday...

Heck, Liquido, I've even volunteered to participate in some panels, but as of yet, I've heard nothing from the Con staff on that yet.

Liquido, all I have ta say is that computers seem to be the bain of my existence. I can work them swimmingly, but they don't seem to want to work reliably in return.

Okay, here's the stinky.

I'm going to be in three, count 'em three panels at CopperCon this weekend. Your sweet asses had better be planted in the seats, or there'll be hell to pay.

Seriously, though, here's the topics of the panels I'm in:

ART 18/MED 08 - Stage Presence 101

ART 17 - Prop Building

FFP 04 - LEGOs.

Ain't no s'cuse fer ya not to make at least *one* of these. If for no other reason than to see me make a complete ass of myself (for those of you new to the PFF, and haven't seen that yet.)

If nothing else, some of my custom Imperial LEGO creations will be on display at the LEGO "panel". (I put panel in quotes because honestly, it's just an excuse to have the Con provide space for us to play with LEGO.)
