PT Anyone think Anakin should of just lied his butt off ?

Anyone think Annakin should of just pretend to join palpatine, and return to the jedi and informed them that palpatine killed Kite Fisto, Mace Windu, Agen Kolar, Saesee Tin Palpatine and that he dispatched storm troopers to kill them.

This way no one would suspect a thing and he wouldn't get kicked out the order. Hell, why not consult and confess what he did to Padme before going completely mental.

 

Um..I think he was twisted by the point he cut off Mace's hand. Notice the emotional state he's in right after. It is too late for Vader..I mean Anakin...to just run back and be like, "Hey guys, guess who's dead." Plus, in his view, slaughtering the jedi would give him the power needed to save Padme....so.....no.....

 

Um, no, that wouldn't have made any sense. Anakin needed Palpatine, that's the whole reason why he stepped in in the first place. He thought Palpatine was the only one who could help him save Padme, due to his stories about "cheating death". If he went back (to whom exactly? all the most powerful Jedi were either dead or very far away from Coruscant at that point), Palpatine would either have him taken out as well, or simply proceeded with Order 66 for the time being and then tried to see what happens.

Even if Anakin had managed to return to other Jedi, what good would that have done for him?
Either Palpatine would have taken them out - in which case he didn't gain a thing, while losing the chance to save Padme through Palpatine - or the Jedi would have come to kill Palpatine, in which case he also would have lost the chance to save Padme.
