Anyone Want to play a game?!?!

Anyone out that want to start playing?

 

Do they work on Macs?

 

Hmmm, good question... but I think so because Meg was saying that she has a Yahoo account and I'm pretty sure that she uses a mac.

I can't play on the computer I'm on right now though because it only has linux which isn't compatible with all of those java applets and all that.

Anyway, we still need to decide what two games besides Scrabble (or Literati) we want to play. Pool was one suggestion, they also have card games, checkers, backgammon and what not. I suggested chess but that idea was shot down because not everyone knows how to play.

 

Uh-oh... Linux can't play Yahoo! games? Because... because... that's all I have Not that that's bad, but for the sake of the team

No we can play anything anywhere as long as we're playing against each other I think.

I have to confess, I've never actually tried to play Yahoo games with linux. I guess I should before I go around saying it can't be done.

Well, I went to Yahoo, and it does look like they have a java plug in you can download for linux, but for some reason I'm having a hard time getting it to download. I'll let you know if I have any luck.

EDIT: Kerryn, just go to yahoo.com click on games, and then go to play literati or whatever it's called. It should prompt you to create an account if you don't already have one and to download any plug-ins that you need.

 

Well, I can't get to work. I downloaded something that I think was the right thing but I can't figure out how to install it, too much computer mumbo jumbo involved.

If you're able to figure it out Bo, let me know.

Darnit, looks like I missed the fun. I'll come on this evening, and hopefully there will be a few of us around to play a game or two.

 

Jobo and I played a game of literati. I think it was the lowest scoring game in history, but we had fun!

One thing though, neither of us could copy the chat transcript, so we didn't save it. We did get a screenshot of the final score though.

 

Yeah, Yahoo doesn't let you copy the chatting inside the games. Why? I don't know.

So, who won?
