So this is another _____ vs. _____ game, but give reasons why. Feel free to pit characters/objects/vehicles/events/etc. from different universes against each other. Inspired by this scene from The Big Bang Theory: Sheldon: Alright, I’m moving my infantry division, augmented by a battalion of Orcs from Lord of the Rings, we flank the Tennessee Volunteers, and the North once again wins the Battle of Gettysburg. Howard: Not so fast, remember the South still has two infantry divisions, plus Superman and Godzilla. Leonard: No, no, no, no, Orcs are magic, Superman is vulnerable to magic, not to mention, you already lost Godzilla to the Illinois Cavalry and Hulk. Raj: Why don’t you just have Robert E. Lee charge the line with Shiva and Ganesh. Penny: Hi, you guys ready to order? Howard: Hang on, honey. Shiva and Ganesh? The Hindu Gods against the entire Union army? Leonard: And Orcs! Penny: I’ll be back. Raj: Excuse me, Ganesh is the remover of obstacles, and Shiva is the destroyer. When the smoke clears, Abraham Lincoln will be speaking Hindi and drinking mint juleps. So, for example, somebody might say, Darth Maladi vs. Rinzler (TRON) and I would say: Rinzler is the better duelist, but he is also an electronic program, so Darth Maladi can just use Force lightning to short him out. Starting out: Rakghoul Plague vs. The Flood (HALO)?
Death Star fires its superlaser into Sauron's eye. Sauron: AUGHHH MY EYE!! You were just asking for this. Lasers and eyes always ends up badly for the eyes.
@tom: Yes I did... then the eye could make it an obscenely bright spotlight that would blind its opponent. HOW ABOUT THAT?
The Death Star would win because it could just blow up Middle-earth. Sauron could rally his orcs and use magic and so on, but he's still bound to the world he's on. If it were a battle between Sauron vs. *insert any Sith here* on the other hand, then we might have a decent fight on our hands. Like if it's Sauron vs. Palpatine, well they both basically have magic powers. I think Sauron has an edge because he's, well, a minor god, and immortal, while Palpatine is still effectively just a man despite his EU clones. On the other hand Sauron doesn't really have any weapon (aside from the Ring if you count it as one) capable of going up against a lightsaber in one-on-on combat, and I'd guess that Palpatine is probably faster too. In the end I think it boils down to whether a lightsaber is capable of harming a god or not. If it can, then Palpatine can probably get in before Sauron can finish him off. If it can't, then Sauron curb-stomps Palpatine and probably any other Star Wars character. FICTIONAL SHOWDOWNS ARE SERIOUS BUSINESS YOU GUYS
I say Captain Comet because I don't read Marvel and DC superhero comics so I've used Google to find pictures and Captain Comet's costum looks way cooler than Captain Atom's. Luke Skywalker vs. Paul Atreides
How would Muad'Dib lose to any Star Wars character? He sees the future in such explicit detail that he operated as if he had perfectly functional 20/20 vision for decades after having his eyeballs destroyed in a terrorist bombing.
The Knights of the Round Table, because I don't really know the other one. *using Google* And the Knights of the Round Table are made up by twelve knights, so they would win against the other single guy. Alliance to Restore the Republic vs. Last Alliance of Elves and Men
