PT AOTC: Canon source says Dooku wasn't the original villain, original was "very different". Any info?

Of course he wouldn't, Maul wasn't a human and a politician like Dooku, he would use someone like Almec to execute his plans.

For someone who hasn't actually posted any concrete arguments (presumably because you don't have any), you sure are being condescending.

I'm not surprised that Dooku wasn't the original choice at all.

According to the unimpeachable, iron-clad Rules of Storytelling, laid down by Aristotle in his Poetics, it was bad storytelling to have Odysseus encounter a succession of foes in the form of Polyphemus, Circe, Scylla, Charybdis, and Calypso. Instead, they all should have been a single foe, Polyphemus. That way, there would have been a greater sense of shared history and personal conflict between Odysseus and his (in this revision) recurring Cyclopean foe, and the story would have been much better as a result. As it stands, the Odyssey is work of irredeemable trash, and Homer a hack of the highest order. So says Rickleo123.

It's just that simple, guys! Storytelling 101.

LMAO I like how you have absolutely zero constructive argument at all and resort to childish trolling about as hollow as Anakin/Dooku interactions in the prequels.

I thought these forums a bit better moderated than that?

My argument is that there's no such thing as the kind of Rules of Storytelling you're talking about, and that if we apply those so-called rules to classic works of literature the same way you apply them to movies you don't like, then it results in us concluding that those classic works are deficient in some way, thus proving how arbitrary and useless those so-called rules are.

I thought my argument was pretty clear, despite being presented in a satirical context.

I feel like it "certainly" would but you know what they say about opinions.
