AOTC Complete Score Petition and Resource Page

This is to let you know that the AOTC complete score petition and resource page is now up and online. This is your chance to write to Sony Classical and Lucas Licensing and express your concerns to have the complete music as originally written by John Williams released in a complete format - this is the goal here. We do not want to see an "Ultimate Edition" release similar to the TPM 2-CD set from 2000, which basically amounts to an isolated DVD score track. That 2-CD set was mostly panned by people because of the number of poor haphazard edits throughout the score, instead of preserving the original integrity John Williams had intended, and it was touted as "every single note John Williams composed for the film", when in fact it was not. This is something we want to rectify with this release.

Spread the word to your friends and get them to sign the petition as well. The more signatures we have, and the more letters that you send in to Sony and to Lucas Licensing, the better a chance we will have of getting the complete score released. You may either write your own letters or copy the petition letter that is now online and send it to Sony and/or Lucas Licensing. Make your letters polite and to the point - derogatory comments will only hurt the cause.

This is just an update to let everyone know that the fan support for an AOTC complete score edition has been overwhelmingly positive! In about a week almost 500 people have signed the open-letter petition to Sony Classical requesting the complete score as originally envisioned by John Williams. You, too, can make your voice heard!

I liked TPM UE cds, any AOTC unreleased music would be great!
