When Anakin and Padme are talking on the refugee vessel, between them if you seen in the background, is a young say, 5 year old girl, having a meal with her mother.

What is most enticing to me is that it is during the conversation, A and P are talking about love, compassion, being with the people who love each other, etc. And as we are aware of, from their eventual union, is borne their first child, Leia. In addition, this young girl (imo) has the features of a 5 year old Leia, perhaps.

Lastly (but not least), and rather more ominous (if that?s the right word) this girl is with her mother;whereas I don?t see a father. And again, as we are aware of, Leia was with her mother for a short while, and not with the company of her father.

    I missed this post!

Whoa! I need to watch the movie again. I did not see any of this. More proof that GL is the smartest director alive.

Got a scene that foreshadows Luke?

So what exactly is the argument here?

    I was arguing that....well, its like this....I mean...you know....

Princess Leia sure is purty! Yeah thats it!

More proof that GL is the smartest director alive.

Well, Moonstruck? Please reveal your feelings to me :-B :D

Got a scene that foreshadows Luke?

At this moment, unfortunately no. But some of Anakin's traits has some of those. However, we already know that.

Ohhh, yeah, for sure....and isn't it just so breathtaking and entirely mesmerizing, too, when you're watching one scene or another with Luke - and the way he tilts his head or looks up from underneath a drawn, tense brow....just his very attitude, his stance and demeanour, then, at momesn like that - it's just so entirely, wonderfully, perfectly *Anakin*....you can truly see his father's influence, times like that, and it really is a joy to behold. :) It's such a joy, truly, in how vividly and wonderfully the Skywalker line lives on.... So much does Luke have Anakin's physical bearing, his movement, litheness and smooth, fluid grace....he's got his eyes, of course....his hair, and the brow, and just his very stance and being at all - he *exudes* Anakin's influence, his spirit, if you will. And of course....he very much has his father's recklessness, impulsiveness, temper and passions....yet he also has Padme's intrinsic faith and heart, her soul. He's the perfect combination of both! :)

Oh, and for the record....now, openmind, dahling, you *know* that I always love these insights that you keep coming up with for us....like that thing on the refugee ship, for instance - you're entirely right, to be sure, and how interesting it is to consider....that Leia did grow up without her father's influence, his presence in her life - she had, I'm presuming, *a* father or mentor, to be sure...undoubtedly in the form of Bail Organa, natch. :) But it was only Padme that she had the real memories of....even fleeting, sense-memory moments, as though bestowed to her by the Force itself....of her mother, of Padme, that's all she had. But Anakin's presence and influence in her is still very much evident, and entirely wonderful to behold, anyway.... :) His stubbornness, his fire....those little biting flashes of temper and pride every now and again....his wilfulness and to-the-ends-of-the-galaxy determination....aye, somehow I think she still gained so much of him - whether or not he was actually there.

He still shaped her life....just as he did Luke's, too....this is something that *Anakin* did, and was....and that's something that could never be hidden or obscured, or otherwise buried, even underneath the tomb of black armour and machinery.... *deeply thoughtful*

Okay, Im back from my mini sabbatical :D Anyone miss me? :p

This may not be much, but I just realized that poor R4 was getting really wet, to be left out in the rain at Kamino.

While Obi Wan avoided a drenching in the cozy shelter, talking to an "unknown" alien", then he learns things that have a couple of surprises in it.

At the same, I recollect another certain poor droid also getting really wet to be left out in rain at Dagobah.

While Luke was in a cozy shelter avoided a drenching being in a cozy shelter, talking to an "unknown alien", then he learns things that have a couple of surprises in it.

I'm starting to remember - painfully - why as a matter of course, I don't typically venture near the SW movie forums themselves....it is, I daresay, all coming back to me. *shudders* I suspect I know where I'll be staying from here on in.... :)

Even after all this time.... :D

So I popped in AOTC last night to test out the surround system that I finally got set up at my new place... I hadn't seen it in a long time and I forgot how much I love this film. I cannot understand the people who harshly criticize it. I think the editing flows quite well and the film is overall engaging and exciting. I still say the entire Tattooine sequence is brilliant and among the most emotional parts of Star Wars.

And for Dawn... it's a little late, but...

*snaps her whip in a threatening manner* Oh, you did *not* just say that....naughty, too naughty....I do believe I simply cannot abide that. ;) Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr....

On the topic....I had lent my mom AOTC to watch before we went to see ROTS together - however, after I reclaimed the DVD over the weekend....*had* to, because I'd really been missing it something fierce - just truly, desperately needed it back, is all....for what, I'm sure, are very obvious - if bittersweet, heartwrenchingly tragic - reasons.... *sniff* It turns out, though, that she actually *was* still wanting to watch it, it's just that - as she put it ;) - she'd not had the chance to yet....though you can imagine the look on my face when she told me that. ;) So, I dunno, I may have to lend it back to her this week....since I'm hoping that she'll be ready to check out ROTS much sooner rather than later, and certainly after my sixth viewing today, I know I'm definitely gonna need another one within the next few days at most....don't think I can leave it any longer than that. :D *continues gently cajoling and entreating mom*
