Just finished watching AOTC and at the very begining 3 ships arrive at Coruscant. 2 one-man fighters and the Royal ship, which is then blown up before anyone leaves (well, just as the decoy leaves) and kills everyone. Then Padme turns up with Jar-Jar. How did Jar-Jar get there?

Oh, and this is not a bash. I love the PT!

Padmé was returning to Coruscant. Jar Jar was already there.

You know, I was just discussing this with the wife and said that myself "..unless Jar-Jar was already on Coruscant..."

Why do I ask these questions and answer them myself?

If only had been on the ship....the clone wars would have started later.

Yes, I agree, he was already on Coruscant. The opening scroll quite clearly said Senator Padme was traveling to Coruscant to vote on the creation of the Army of the Republic.

So you're saying that if Jar Jar had traveled with Padme it would be mentioned in the opening crawl? :p

I'm sure he got to Coruscant by the means of some type of space travel. I mean, you just can't walk down the sidewalk from Naboo to Coruscant.
