    From theForce.net:

    Confirmed Theaters NOT showing AOTC

    Texas
TI Founders IMAX Theater - Dallas, TX
Museum of Natural Science - Houston, TX
Johnson Space Center - Houston, TX
3D Imax at Moody Gardens - Galveston, TX
    Edwards Marque - Houston, TX
Museum of Science and History - Ft.Worth, TX

I believe that's all of the IMAX theaters in Texas. And you know if NON of the Texas theaters are showing it, Tulsa isn't going to get it.

*sigh* Oh well, let's just keep our fingers crossed.

I'm waiting on the Cinemark IMAX in Dallas to respond to my email.

San Antonio has an IMAX at Rivercenter Mall.

I'm almost positive that Austin's got one too.

What about the one at The Science Place? It's in Dallas.

Here's a link to their website.

EDIT: Nevermind, that's the TI Founders one. :(

I replied to this post at the other board...but I will go ahead and reply here too. :) I just don't normally check this board, but I guess I am going to have to start.

Actually, the Omnidome is not a part of the IMAX chain...so Tulsa was our only hope. :(

I will be keeping my fingers crossed for Tulsa too!

There is supposedly an IMAX theater in Hutchinson, KS...but if Tulsa does not get it, why would KS. AND...the IMAX site lists IMAX theaters in Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Galveston, Houston, Lubbock and San Antonio...so there is still a chance that Austin or San Antonio might get it. ((Maybe))

Keep us posted if you hear anything else about locations!

    Sarah

EDIT...Well, I guess I should have looked at the list before I originally posted this...The Kansas theater passed on it too, along with Kansas City, MO. So, unless we get lucky and Tulsa wants it, we might need to make a pilgrimage to Nashville or Indianapolis (or San Antonio or Austin if they come thru).

I guess there is still hope for Tulsa. :) I do find it strange that when I looked at the information before, OKC's Omnidome was not listed stating that only IMAX theaters had the chance to get it. Since Omnidome is a part of another "chain", they were not supposed to be able to get it. Oh well...they passed anyway.

    Keep us updated!

    IMAX San Antonio's Website
    http://www.imax-sa.com/

San Antonio's IMAX seems to be showing all the "commercial" IMAX films that are available right now (xXx and Apollo 13). It's VERY likely that they'll get AotC, but i'll email them anyway just to make sure.

    This is encouraging.

Edited to add the Austin IMAXs web addy
    http://www.tspb.state.tx.us/tspb/TSHM/IMAX/IMAX.htm

It's likely that they won't be showing AotC, as theatres located in museums seem to be generally uninterested.

There's no way I'm going to San Antonio. Tulsa, yes. Dallas, probably. But it's not worth a day's drive.

It really stinks that so few theaters are getting it. :(

Well, my situation is slightly different.

I'll probably have to go to SA at some point after Nov. 1st anyway.

I completely understand anyone from around here not wanting to drive 8hrs one way to see a movie, even AotC.

Just in case anyone missed it on the front TFN page...

Dallas IMAX has confirmed that they're getting AotC. Plans shall be drawn up for the invasion of Dallas that is forthcoming.

Looks like we won't need to go to Dallas. I just got this email from Cinemark in Tulsa:

The Cinemark IMAX Theatre in Tulsa, OK will open Star Wars: Episode II - Attack
of the Clones on November 1, 2002. We will be posting showtimes to our website
(www.cinemark.com) very soon and even placing tickets on sale. This should be a
great film for the IMAX and we eagerly await its arrival as I am sure you are as
    well.

We hope to see you on November 1st or soon thereafter.

    Thanks,
