Came in from the pub two nights back and went on the JC .
Rush of alchohol to the head led me to post in the new 'organise an opening night party' thread.........
here's a link to it, if you're interested.

    AttackoftheDTs

Glasgow has a respectable history of SW parties, and May would seem a pretty good excuse for another one......

And for about five years I drove my scooter via the Mulk and the Carmunnock bypass every day going to work in East f@@king Kilbride

There's a few Glasgow bods on here I think - Cass included, even though she lives in MK.

I'm from Baillieston and have been an Eastender most of my natural.

So are you a well known reporter?

    Am I ***k
The Herald / STV are in the same office, but I write for a specialist paper with a heavy emphasis on fun stuff like animal diseases, the Common Agricultural Policy and the price of milk......

But I get to use the same canteen as Shareen Najiani.......

Is she smaller than she looks in real life? She was in Starbucks once but she was sitting down so I couldn't tell.

The Common Agricultural Policy?? Good luck with that one - it numbs my mind and I'm supposed to know something about it!

I saw Shereen in M&S on Sauchiehall Street when I used to work up Blythswood at KPMG (yeah...it WAS in an office you pervs! not on the street corner!).

She has manky skin. Well...she did then. Pock marked and fakey tanned.

Gordy, I lived just off Carmunnock Road in the Valley and my sis lives in EK :) But she's moving back to Croftfoot.

Now I wasn't going to bring Shareen's complexion into this, but aye, she is one spotty gal
It'll be all that studio makeup and lights, I'm sure. That and all the chips....

Hey Motts Minx - d'ye remember Blair Nimmo from KPMG? I keep encountering him thru my job ? he's always liquidating and receiving companies that my paper wants stories about.

And now the wee bam is liquidating the 13th Note, one of my favourite drinking dens.

I sense that Blair Nimmo might be strong with the Darkside etc etc

Yeah I know Blair Nimmo. He was the partner in Corporate Recovery whereas I worked in Owner Managed Businesses. I came into contact with him a few times. He was having an affair with one of the girlies in the office I think LOL.

13th Note...I think my cousin has something to do with that (Manda Rin from BIS).

The world gets smaller by the day.

I know the Bis kids quite well (though Manda the least, cos she's glamorous), and I'm currently in a band with the guy that records their stuff and manages the tours.

However, in that wee Glasgow musical coterie, I go by the name of Gordy Amphetameanie.

    ps
More detail's on Blair Nimmo's shagging activities, please. I could sell that info to the 13th Note and save their veggie bacon !

Well considering I havent worked at KPMG since 1998, I dont know any more than what I said above. If its still going on or whom it was.

And my cousin may seem glam and all that but she's just my wee cousin Amanda.

Were you at her wedding in April? Me and MOT were there?

    [image=http://uk.geocities.com/casshie/jandc2.jpg]

Here's a pic of us at the wedding...I think that's John (disco) 's head sticking out the top of mines ;)

I know a guy called Andrew Conway who works for OU down there...
he's an astronomer, and does all the cosmology stuff ? you know, expanding universes, star formation and destruction, answering the phone to the Sunday Sport when they want to know if Elvis is alive and well and living on Jupiter..
"No, sorry, I'm afraid Jupiter is a gas giant and has no solid surface upon which Elvis could stand. Goodbye..."

    His job sounds cool, anyway.

I'm off home - Friday is halfday around here.
    See ya later.

Talk about small world - I currently work at No. 24 Blythswood Square - KPMG - this is too freaky for words. I must ask around to see who knows you Cass - were you in OMB Tax or Audit - when did you leave?

    I'm freaked.

SDM runs screaming from the building!

If you are Blair Nimmo, we are all really sorry.we have been making it all up...
If you aren't, however, dish the dirt.....

And even more creepily, KPMG just took over my upstairs neighbours law firm, McGregor Donald _ while my up-upstairs neighbour (I live in a basement) worked in KPMG until 8 months ago. She was called Michelle, and she was sort of swiss-american.

Briefly returning to Star Wars, this must roughly be the social equivalent of "Luke, I am your father...."
    "nooooo - its not possible....."

    PS SDM Padawan
who is buying the 13th Note then?

Wwll I'm not Blair - that's for sure and dishing dirt, if there is any, on such a public forum is not a good idea.

I know Michelle - she used to work on the floor below in the Tax department.

    SDM

PS - Blair isn't my father either, thank the maker!

Quite right about the dirt, Padawan.
That only occurred to me yesterday, in a rare moment of self-realisation...
this isn'y e-mails anymore, is it?

I'm going to Michelle's wedding in Geneva - Easyjet flights ur cheap, but, dearie me, Switzerland does not have a lot of cheap B&Bs.
I fear the worst in overdraft terms.

Anyway - Nice and Sleazies, Sauchiehall St
May 4th 2002, "may the fourth be with you" nite.
Fancy dress, food-colouring cocktails, prizes for 'who looks the most serious about it' and .....well, its a Saturday.. so it should be amusing.
me and my pal do scooetrboy niights in there all the time under the 'Club Spunka'name - Madness, Dexys, Undertones, Jam - all that pish.
For May The Fourth, we'll probably do exactkly the same, but chuck in some 70s disco and TV themes.
And Sleazies has Buckfast on the optics !

    Dig oot yir helmet.

PSDM, I worked at KPMG for 9 years, from 1989 to 1998. OMB was one department then.

I worked under Gill Black who moved to A&E Russell (who are still clients I think) and then she headhunted me and I went to Russells.

Gerry Quinn took over the department after she left. He referred to me as the wicked witch of the west and would always asked where I parked my broomstick! LOL

    Jack McLaren was the partner.

Alan Smith was one of my frieds (he's the pensions guy). He was really funny. AND Barbara Gaynor (Jack's secretary) was my best mate for a while - she was transferred to the London office because her husband was seconded there. He used to work at KPMG before he moved to Neville Russell.

    I'm sure most of the longer-serving secretaries would remember me - I was/am a bit of a character ;)

    Which department are you in?

I work in the VAT department beside Adrian Wood and Co. - but I do customs duty work. Barbara is now back in the office after her stint down in London and now goes by the name of Henry - Well Barbara Henry not Henry Gaynor - anyway, we get on okay as she's Celtic daft also. Morag Dunn used to be our secretary but left a while ago and we now have a girl called Claire, who is very nice and a bit of a babe actually.

Gerry is still there and still as mad as ever. When I'm back in tomorrow, I'll ask around - may even be some photos!!

Oh she's back is she? I hadnt heard from her in ages. Is she back working for Jack? Me and her had a big fall out so I imagine she won't have a nice word to say...LOL Tell her I said hello anyways :)

I sent her an e-card last week for her birthday.

I remember Morag Dunn. She was a partners' secretary too (Jimmy Miller & Martin Ross). I remember Adrian Wood but he might not remember me.

    Sheesh its a small world.

If yer speaking to Gerry...tell him I was asking for him.
