When I was in, what was it, my first year of college, I was more or less a n00b around here, but I wanted to help people out and be a good community member.

Some guy posted a thread asking for pictures or video of people in their Jedi robes. And I happened to have a still of me from my really bad high school fan film, so I was, like, sure, whatever, I'll play. I submit and forget about it.

Today... years later, I'm a mod, a college graduate and a more experienced moviemaker. And I'm reading Boter's blog and he has a fun post about his cameo as a hologram Jedi in "Revelations".

And I remember submitting my pic a loooooong time ago.

And I'm, like, "waaaaaait... that was REVELATIONS?!"

I rush to DL the best-quality copy they have and zoom to the hologram Jedi scene.

And there I am with my dorky lightsaber and dorkier haircut. See me on the right?

And for comparison: This is a GREAT piece of Photoshop art. I made it in the year 2000 with space-age technology.

So wow. Albeit uncredited, I'm in one of the biggest fan films around, and I had no idea. All those news articles and interviews and publicity, and it was about something I had completely forgotten I'd volunteered to be a part of.

I'd like to thank Shane for getting me involved in the project and believing in me from the start... um... my parents for always supporting me... my high school drama teacher, Mr. Fleming.

The point of this thread is that there's always something fun to be found on these boards! So get involved and help out, and you too can be the last to know when you're in a fan film sensation!

I was also in that Will Smith movie "Hitch" if anyone cares.

    Rick McCallum loves you!

What, you were in Hitch!?!? ;)

Anyways, that's interesting, I thought you were here before that, it seems like that wasn't really all that long ago because I remember that thread.

    I was in dodgeball...

    and seabiscuit...

    ...and the longest yard.

and some movie whose name was changed, but has forest whitaker, and nick cannon.
that was my favorite, cause no matter what, I was always right behind him, walking in his wake and watching the basketball going on...i'm pretty sure that there was a take when I look up at him, and I look like a six year old. but i was 17 at the time....

or, is this thread just about revelations?

    cause if so, i....

    ...i liked it...(runs away)

How does anyone get in movies?

Well, maybe it's just where you live, I bet you live in California, I live in Texas so there's not really much movie stuff here, although my brother was an extra on Walker Texas Ranger one time.

Anyways, congratulations, I hope they paid you well...

Primrodo, Phi, and I recorded our stuff in September of 2004. Interesting time gap, there.

By the way, my blog post was mentioning how I got myself onto IMDB using Revelations and an uncredited Holo Jedi credit.

Crap, when was this thread? Shane, help?

It's a funnier story if it was really long ago and I forgot about it.

If it happened in 2004 it's less funny, I just become a forgetful doofus.

LOL .. you just found this out Adam? wow
I think the thread you are talking about is this one:
    http://boards.theforce.net/fan_films/b10015/16827679/p1

We had a good deal of people send us their pics and footage to help out and I thought it could be a cool way to include some fans in the film. People like to see their name in the credits and be a part of a movie in some way. Who knew we made some fan film history after it was all said and done. You never know.

And darthviper107 you do not need to live in LA to be involved in features. I am from Texas and did most of all my work there when I started. There are plenty of films in Texas and Austin is very big on the Film scene. get an agent and get involved in the independent film community. network online and check the cast hotlines in your area. I worked as an actor for a number of years in Texas. True that LA, & NY are going to have more work and more films but you DO NOT have to go there unless you are serious and ready to pursue a serious career.

I would make fun of Adam, but I also forgot I was in Revelations until quite a while after attending the premiere. I'd filmed my clip ages before and it must have slipped my mind. [face_blush]

    But hey, there I am:

I can't find the screen grab that Zap posted of it... But here is what I submitted in that thread:
    [image=http://www.durbnpoisn.com/dls/holo.jpg]

It got used. So, I too had a cameo in Revelations. It was like 1 frame, and it was only my hand. But it's in there!

Ooh... I hadn't thought of that. It would be nice if my record on the IMDB included more than one film. On the other hand... I just don't have the friggin time to go through that thicket bush of a submission process they have.

    Man, what were they thinging?!?
