Do you think that Dark Horse will do an Approaching Storm comic.

I would like to see one but I think it is unlikely. How many books have been given the comic treatment anyways?

Maybe I will just have to settle for Barris and Luminari in the ongoing series. :)

    What about Jedi quest?

Or does that not count as a novel?

I'd count Jedi Quest as a novel... I'd like to see a comic version of a few more novels but I doubt it's going to happen... Nice condensed versions work well for me what with too much work :)

I don't know how much the SoTE comic series should count. I mean, SoTE was a big multi media event. The comics were being written, as I understand it, at the same time as the novel, the video game, the soundtrack, etc.

I don't count the SotE comic as an adaptation like the others because it was a companion to the book and the game. To a lesser degree I think Jedi Quest is the same way. It's not a graphic version of the story and it didn't come out years later. It came out not that long after the book and covered some things the book didn't.

So you look at that and DHC hasn't done any adapations in quite a while.

    Thats too bad :(

I guess I will just have to wait for the new essental guide to character to understand what Anison's inhabitants looked like.

Is that coming out on the 23rd with everything else?

Ever heard of... using your imagination? ;)

Anyway, I remember when the Dark Force Rising sourcebook's depiction of the Bothans was contradicted by the DFR comic, and other EU. I still prefer the sourcebook's version of the Noghri - and I'm glad to see they kept Garm Bel Iblis looking like Sean Connery...

But in the end, is some artist's visualisation of an alien species *based on the author's description* any more or less valid than your own visualisation? Of course, this being Star Wars fandom, people tend to be *incredibly* dogmatic about this kind of thing...

Um, I did say Adaptions/Versions, so as to include JQ and SOTE.
