New Jersey April 26th Minutes

Meeting of April 26th, 2003

Marie will be contacting a friend to get one of our Icons done. Right now we have a working Icon added, please choose it so that we can spread the word.

We are also looking to add a Member Bios Page to the site. Give a little info about each of us and make it more welcoming.

Getting the Word Out:

We discussed what we could do to get the word out about our group. At this point, we need to see what Conventions are happening in our area to go and promote ourselves at. At this point we are still trying to compile a list of upcoming conventions.

We also discussed the possibility of getting pins and shirts made up. We are still looking at pricing and what options we have.

Events:

Conventions, Conventions, Conventions - We need to get involved. Right now, we need to see what?s out there and get a table set up for us. We also would like to assist whom we can with setting up and helping out. The more we get involved the better our exposure!

Charities - At this point in time we need to consider and plan our own Charitable events. There was a suggestion of a Movie Night or such type function. We can also contact SWNYC, KOP, and the 501st if we would like to do a costumed event, since we are still new and have not established our costumes yet. If anyone has suggestions or ideas, please contact Gary or Shawn.

Disney SW Weekends - We will have representation there! R.J. is planning on attending the SW Weekends in Disney World. We expect a full report when you return, R.J.!




Chiller Con:

After the meeting we headed up to Chiller Con in the Meadowlands. We had a great time and it was very eventful. The dinner with Peter Mayhew and Jeremy Bullock went well. And there?s even been an opportunity for us to set up guests for future cons.



In addition, we would like to apologize to Charlie for not getting to his Collecting Update. Time grew short, but we will be sure to include at the next meeting!!

Don?t forget, care of our Collecting Rep, Charlie, there will be a door prize at every meeting!
