ON April 28th, Ottawa first FanForce meeting

okay, so we have confirmed the date everyone, or would we like it later???

anyway, I think the movies are a great choice, but we don't have to fo see an opening one, we could go see a movie that has been out for a couple of weeks.

Ok, hubby agreed to come on April 28th, but it will be an afternoon outing for us.
No dinner there, definitely no movie.
That doesn't stop the others from going to a movie, but we wont be able to.
We'll have mini-cleo and medium-cleo with us.
So can we plan some sort of afternoon meet too?

 

I am cool for a afternoon meet, Just time and where is all I need.

 

All signs point to yes for me being able to attend both an Afternoon do and an evening thing. I'll of course be coming with Joseph and probably someone(s) else from Toronto.

the idea is for everyone from the Ottawa region to meet at least once.
We're sorta extending the Ottawa Region to include Montreal and Toronto though ;-)

 

I think OttawaSith is JW but anyhow ya plan is to get fans together hehe.

By the Way, I suggest we go see DRIVEN, a new movie coming out on the 27th, it looks really nice. And I think some of our fellow cgi buddy's from ILM took a shot at it.

April 28th Ottawa meeting:

After an a incredibly detailed discussion over the merits of various meeting times , David and I are suggesting that a meeting at 1:30 at the eternal flame thing in front of Parliament Hill be the new official meeting time and place. We?ll hang around there until 2:00 pm, so people don?t have to worry about being right on time.

It seems most people (including me) will be wearing something Star Wars related, but just to be sure we don?t get lost among the tourisits, we?ll meet off to the Ontario side of the flame.

The only deffinate things after that is that we will eat dinner at a to be determined time and place before seeing a movie at around 6 or 7 o?clock, most likely at the Rideau center.

When we meat we can decide whether or not to go somewhere like the tech museam (which offers free addmission between 4:00 and 5:00 o?clock ? otherwise its $6) or just hang around talking, visiting stores etc..

From past experience you can expect the last people to split up sometime after midnight.

While this is now the Official Plan, it is open to ammendment if anyone can see a way to make it better.

So that?s the plan so far, and I?m looking forward to meeting all of you. (especially becuase it will be right after my last exam )

Also, I won't be able to attend this coming meeting, saturday beeing my only chance to meet with some guys from Quebec city to discuss about their convention, It's sort of my RSA job to go there.

Can you remind the con organizers to contact me once they have a new date for the con? I've got some anxious 501st.ca members waiting for some news on that.

I should be there for the 1:30-2:00 meeting time.

I wont be able to go all night, friend's bday thing. I can be there for afternoon and maybe a bit longer.

 

It's really hard to set a time for a second meeting, but if anyone who will can just get a cell number and call it to hook up with us that would work best.

 

Okay, I'll probably just meet you guys at the resaurant/TimHortons/Whatever before the movie, and go to the movie, the rest of m y day is booked, sorry (What a day to get a social life, of all the days in the year, it had to be this Saturday!)
