April/May meet?

There was some interest showed by some that we should have a lightsaber making meet. How do you guys feel about having it for our next meet? It would need to be done within the next 4 or so weeks, I know Lisa is heading to Europe shortly after.
Before we had one day to get the material and another to build. But on our build day we also went out and bought some stuff. So I think we could do this in one day if we start soon enough. What do you think?

 

I'd like to build a lightsaber again.
I will be in IL from May 3rd to 13th, but if that's when you have your meet, no big deal.

 

After speaking with several of you at EFF, would we like to make Overpower and other games at say a Borders May's meet? If someone can donate space at their house it would be cool. I know several are interested, just let me know if I should bring me cards.

 

Oh yeah, BTW when we do a lightsaber meet, I will be willing to bring down some of my Master Replica blades down to model for anyone interested.

 

i like the idea of the overpower/other games at borders or wherever. it might also be nice to do some kind of outdoor dinner type thing after, like at one of those places where you can eat outside. i want to fully take advantage of the summer weather this year.

and speaking of which, that kind of ties in with the whole lightsaber thing. i'm kinda leaning towards waiting until the fall to do that, not only because it's kind of an indoor thing (what with the power toosl and all) but also that will give the people who go home for the summer a chance to try it out when they get back.

 

How are you folks' weeks looking. I know the boston rebels are having a meet this saturday 24th. I work may 1st till 5. So I could be ready as early as 5.30. I know that a couple of people will be unavailable after the weekend of may 15th.

So toss me a bone. Need the info.

So how does the 8th sound for people. I will not be working that day so its good for me. We could start 12-1 so we don't have to rush like last night.

Also thought we could try the borders in south attleboro since I think we are all north of providence anyways. There chair area is alittle smaller so I don't know if that would be a big deal.

 

Bad news, guys! I don't think I'm going to be around (again!). I have a final exam on the 8th (yes, a Saturday exam) from 9 AM - 11 AM and then I think I'm going home so I can spend Mother's Day with my family. Sorry to miss you guys AGAIN!
