Oregon April Meeting

Any ideas on a meeting this month?

 

How does the 24th afternoon/evening grab ya?

Depends on the time that the meeting would be. I have a bowling tournament (Oregon Pepsi Tournament State Finals) that day, and I'm not sure what hours that will be yet.

 

The 24th is a good day for me!

 

I'm game.... of course it all depends on whether I have everything moved out of the apartment, by then. But I am sure I can take time away from the move, after all, I still have two weeks and four days to get completely moved.

I will be 35 on the 26th, so why not hang out with some Star Wars friends a couple days early, right?


How about a buffet, somewhere. Izzy's in Oregon City is close to Eric and myself and is not too far from Crash and Gunship. Although, a change could be good... there is always Home Country Buffet in Clackamas, or the Old Chicago Pizza across the street.

I am not opposed to travelling somewhere, that is on a bus line. I just want to make sure it is some place that is a fair distance for everyone who would be coming. I know ImperialJedi comes the furthest, being in Salem, and all. I am just trying to be considerate.

Besides, those buffet places have good food, we don't have to feel all weird about being adults in a kids play area (like at Pietro's) and it is a place that allows us to hang out, for a bit.

What do you guys think?

I don't mind. It's really nice to get out of town every once and a while and see the big city. lol. I like both locations, though if it went to a vote, I think Hometown Buffet would win out for me.

I haven't been to Hometown Buffet in a long time. We've been to Izzy's (although, not that specific one) a few times. Something different would be a nice change. Let's do that one.

Check Jawafett's last post, we are meeting in Clackamas, at Home Town Buffet. It is just across the street from the Old Chicago (corner of 82nd Ave and Causey Ave).

If you were going North on 82nd Ave, Old Chicago would be on your left hand side, Home Town Buffet would be on your right. I believe it shares the same parking complex with Winco Foods, or one of those types of grocery stores.

Woohoo! I'm pretty excited to be meeting. Just lock down a time and let me know. 6pm would be ideal for me, but I can make it whenever. ^_^

Yeah... we finally got in gear and got t-shirts made for the club. OryCon is a local sci-fi/fantasy convention held in November of every year, here in Portland. I hosted a table for the OFF, as well as Mandalorian Mercs Costuming Club that I belong to.

Have we got a time ironed out? Like I said, I can probably be there around 4:30, if I were to get there directly from work. But if it is later, then I would have time to go home and change out of my work attire. But I am flexible, regardless. Whatever works for everyone, I am game.

And just an FYI (because heaven forbid that they list prices on their website), cost is $6.99 up to 3PM, $9.99 thereafter. So, there you go, dinner will be $10!
