Welcome to the April New Stories Index for the Beyond the Saga Board!

This Index will be updated daily with new fan fiction stories from this board, and at the end of the month all of these stories will be combined to make a master list, along with fics from both the Before the Saga and The Saga Boards. Keep in mind I?m on EST, so if you posted a fic, and don?t see it on the index; check the day previous or next day?s index posts to see if it was a victim board time vs. real time (for me anyway).

I'll be maintaining this Index. If you've got any questions, please feel free to send me a Private Message. While I will be checking for new stories as often as I can, you?re welcome to send me the information for your fic via PM.

Challenge responses will not be indexed as they are to be included on the Fan Fiction Master Challenge Index Thread located on the Resource board. However, if you would like me to add it to the month?s current New Stories Index, just PM me the info, and I?ll add it to the day?s index log.

To make it easier for me when gathering the story data, please headline your fic with the following information in the first post. Notes: I began thinking about and planning this story in 1998 after reading Timothy Zahn's Heir to the Empire trilogy. Being a bit slow off the mark, I had discovered the SW universe of literature quite late! Initially I intended to write about Luke, but the story had a mind of its own and kept centering itself on Wedge. Then I found Michael Stackpole's Rogue Squadron books and comics, and realised that the story knew best, so I let it take over.

Notes: This is the sequel by request of some readers of Great Spirits, s songfic I wrote for the Disney Songfic Roulette Challenge. It assumes several things happening during the DNT that didn't happen in canon. 1. Jag and Jaina were engaged prior to the Dark Nest Crisis and Swarm War; Jaina finds out that she is pregnant with Jag's twins whilst in the Taat nest. 2. There is a bad break between them where both of them end up suffering deeply, due to false perceptions and feelings of betrayal. 3. Alema Rar dies when she's dragged off by the spider sloth in the final chapter of the trilogy (in LOTF, it really bothered me that she just couldn't seem to die and just kept coming back for more. So, I rememdied that here and hope nobody minds).

Notes: A/N #1: I do not own Star Wars, but I do so enjoy playing in George's Galaxy. A/N #2: Thank you so much to my beta reader. This story would not be what it is without her invaluable help and patience. A/N #3: Although I am not a big fan of the EU, with the help of Wookieepedia, I have tried to stay relatively consistent with most of the events that occurred up to the point where this story begins. For example, Chewbacca was killed three years ago and will only be referenced in the past tense. Some events, however, are far different. The most glaring changes are that the Yuuzhan Vong War never happened, Luke?s marriage to Mara Jade and the uncomplicated birth of their son occurred five years earlier than canon, and the Jedi re-established their home base back at the Temple on Coruscant. There are other inconsistencies, but they are fairly minor and will hopefully not be too distracting. A/N : 4: This is my first post to this site. I am looking forward to your replies.
