The Tea Party would correct you by saying "No, the party brought the freakin' government to its knees last month!" And then give each other high-fives. And then discuss with each other how they can do it even better NEXT time.

Because, you see, they don't see what happened last month as a BAD thing for this country. They, for a brief while, saw the Promised Land - a government with "Sorry, We're Closed" signs on its doors. A shut-down government can't tax, can't spend on social programs, can't enforce land-use restrictions or other regulations, can't do all the wrong-bad-evil-no-good things it does because it's not there. So, as far as they're concerned, a country without a government is like a fish without a bicycle. (Well, the government was still kind of there, but only for "essential services" - you know, the military, the one thing they actually want to keep around.)

So expect to see a lot more of last month so long as they maintain their stranglehold on the Republican Party. Because that wasn't a means to an end for them - it was an end unto itself.

My fear is moderated by the fact he has chosen to live and work on the other coast. ;-)

Seriously, congratulations on your final victory over the gatekeepers of legal practice.

Over the weekend I went up to Ottawa for a friend's wedding. Encountered a Predator in a museum.

The bird is the one attending the party. The pirate is just part of the costume.

First Impressions playing Creed 4 on a friend XBOX. Kenway makes a rather promising start with killing an Assassin and then faking to be him ;) Also your RL counterpart is again an Abstergo Employee mining Desmond’s DNA, apparently in order to make a game, similar set up to Liberation, which is actually show in game to be a game made by Abstergo. Controls are pretty nice; especially the sea segments I got to play so far and Havana is insanely beautiful. Soundtrack has been blowing my mind as well. [/quote]

I picked up AC4 (and Deus Ex HRDC) earlier this week as well- hopefully I'll have time to play it next week. Looking forward to some pirate fun.

So, not counting this message, I have as many likes as posts. Is... is that good? Should there be a trophy? Can I put this in my CV?
