Hope Target has them tomorrow.

Picked up 3.5 Phasma and Rey (Not nearly enough female character action figures, so I bought these two in support) but decided not to get the Black series Rey and BB8. Was really thinking about it, but the price was half of what the X-Wing starter will be, and I will get a lot more use out of the X-Wing set.

Also decidedagainst the micromachine sets. I sold all my old ones to Adm Nick last year, and really, the quality didn;t seem as good as the old ones. Could be a nostalgia filter though. But the late military micromachines, like the GIJoe ones, were poorer quality than the earlier ones as well.

 

Heh, I actually passed a Disney store today and realized they'd be clearing some stuff out, so I picked up a li'l black series Bastila and Malgus (whom I shall pretend is Malak upon yonder shelf) for $4 each.

The only 6" black series I have is Han, but that's alright because of beautiful things like little tiny baby Biggs sitting in Papa Han's lap.

 

I just got back from a Target, and they still had X-Wing starter sets. I ALMOST talked myself into breaking budget to get one. I wonder how the stats on the T-70 compare to the T-65?

Instead, I got the Prequel and Sequel Micromachine packs (there was an OT one as well). The sculpts and paint of the ARC-170 is pretty bad, but the Jedi Fighter, Vulture, and V-Wing all look great. The Invisible Hand looks a little bent amidships.

The T-70 X-Wings (dare I call them neXt-Wings?) are VERY spindly around the S-foils, but that's not anyone's fault but Ralph McQuarrie's. The standard TIE looks like it might just be a repaint of the classic, but the Special Forces TIE (with the red splash) Has all kinds of neat little details that set it apart. The area where they pylon meets the solar/radiator panel has been reinforced, which is great: ALL of my original TIEs broke at that joint.

 

T70 is a couple points more, but gains a shield and a boost action compared to the normal T65. And it has a tallon roll maneuver.

 

So the Databank just got an update adding a ton of entries for TFA.

 

Edit: On second thought, moving to the TFA thread.

 

I know how bad this sounds, but I really wish I could get that BB-8 without having to buy Rey too.

 

That Rey has a really weird head...

 

Well, $200 later, I've ordered a new fleet of Star Wars Micro Machines.

Of course, being the sicko that I am, I couldn't have one of certain ships. Hence my numerous T-70 X-wings and First Order Tie Fighters...

I guess my First Order Star Destroyers will have to fight Home One, Mon Remonda, and the rest of my old Rebel capital ships in the meantime. I want some Resistance capital ships!

Imperial Womb of Destiny, in reference to Jaina being the ancestor of the Fel Emperors.

This thread's logic has something to do with Chalmun's cantina I think.

 

Is that still canon? Doesn't that name contradict the film's or something?
