If you really want to drive yourself insane try destroying the Chimera, Inexorable, Death's Head, Stormhawk and Nemesis in mission 6.2 ;)

Yeah, that game cheats like a mother****er if you try that kind of stuff. They learned from XvT.

So true. In XW vs. TF, I could totally solo take out an ISD with a B-wing. In XW: Alliance, there are times that the game makes things so hard that I wish I was flying around in an MC80 cruiser, not a snubfighter. :p

Because I want an actual television show that has the potential for crossovers. :p

Those comics were fun, though, yeah.

The REAL Iron Throne. (No spoilers, but probably better for show watchers to avoid the comments just in case?)

My friend was at a local sub shop today that hands out order numbers instead of taking your name. And, well...

I love the asymmetry. Now that looks like all the blades of Aegon's victims forged into one. Also, the books constantly mention how uncomfortable the thing is, and how easy it is to cut oneself on it. With the show version, it looks like you have to be an idiot to get yourself cut on it. That thing? Yeah, I foresee many, many wounds suffered in exchange for the privilege to sit on the Iron Throne.

Neither was I. I think PG's just prematurely revealed his plans for a coup d'état.

Yeah... but XvT still uses the older style game-engine where ISDs had those giant turret things and capships don't have point defense guns to take out warheads. XWA is just brutal -- you could have your entire squadron short torps at a corvette, and the little thing would just shoot them all down. If X-wing were like XWA, I think Stackpole's books would've been written very differently! I suppose it's way more realistic this way, but you don't get the satisfaction of outrageously blowing up things. Still, after taking out that ISDII in a Y-wing, I'd think I'd have at LEAST gotten a promotion if it were real life :p

And XWA Upgrade certainly makes the ships leagues more beautiful (every time I fly out of the Rebel fleet with these upgraded models, I'm thinking "Man Nick must be in heaven every time he plays this game :p" ) but it also makes their point defense guns even more brutal.

And YES, the game cheats. I just took down an escort carrier in my A-wing and I was half expecting a Super Star Destroyer to fly in and chastise me when I took the thing's shields down, or something. :p I mean, good grief, the older games were never so mean.

Then again, there was that one simulator mission in TIE Fighter where you could blow up the corvette that was your command ship.... but if you did, the ISD Punisher would show up and send its TIEs against you while Vader voiced over "You should never attack Imperial vessels!" It scared the total **** out of me the first time that happened.
