I don't see a distinction at all, frankly.

I feel like I'm lacking some context to this discussion...

Are you guys discussing some X-Men story, or has there genuinely been some law about mutants in case some guy ever is born who shoots lasers from his eyes? :p

    That's just somehow awesome.

I hope their court fees were less than the tariffs they would have paid.

    Maybe.

Speaking of merchandising...my kid just asked me for a jet pack.

Apparently they are sold on Amazon.

Nope, I actually liked that run. :p

I'm referring to the "run" (that consisted of five issues - that's a limited series, Marvel) where the Uncanny Avengers - originally the Unity Avengers team that was supposed to reach out to mutants - became a hodge-podge of Vision, the new Captain America, Brother Voodoo, Sabretooth, Rogue, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. Sort of. Because they really weren't a 'team' per se. (Also, Wonder Man is and isn't a member. Don't ask). Brother Voodoo conjures up some ghosts, Captain America turns into a tree, Vision has lots of robot sex - and Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch discover a new origin. Turns out they aren't mutants, and never were! (If you point out all the times that they were detected as mutants or were affected by things that only affected mutants, you are a GROSS NERD). I'm sure it's just a coincidence that the ones from the Cinematic Universe aren't mutants either. What are the odds?

There's a lot of dark and beautiful moments in the later issues, especially when Deadpool confronts the person responsible for the harvesting... and other things, too. The 'last' issue ended in such a wonderfully surprising way, and also contained the last 'fake flashback' issue, to the Infinity Gauntlet, which also reveals an actual reasonable explanation of one of Deadpool's most infamous traits. I'd recommend a read to the end.

Nope, all they ever said is that it was the return of Bruce Timm and his animation style in an Elseworld story. Most of the conjure that it's actually connected to the DCAU comes from just that and the cover which clearly has the DCAU trinity incarnations on it.

    CooperTFN @Mia Mesharad

You guys are the biggest DCAU people on the board I think. You guys excited for this? Hoping for a connection?

Also help settle a bet, Flash is easily the best member of the Justice League right?

Eh, it's been soooo long. I don't even want to think about it until it's actually out, but if that day comes and there's a definite DCAU connection, awesome. Even if not, I'll probably take a look sooner or later just because it's Timm.

    Hawkgirl.

Oh yeah, Justice League made her. She was also part of what is undeniably one of the best comedy scenes ever.

    Judas Priest!!

I still say Flash is the best, but Flash vs Hawkgirl is a worthy debate worth having .

What little I read of it so did I find it rather lacking in imagination, but that is just me.

Also I am gross nerd and can for example point out so many plot holes in House of M and rant for days about why Supreme Power is bad since it dose not respect the source material.

I just realised that I missread your original post [face_blush]

One of the things I liked about Tomb Raider was that it can basically be 100%ed without significant additional effort. Anywhere that needs more than one pass, the story will take you there for another pass, with the appropriate equipment. The journals and stuff are definitely worth it.

In other news, can anybody recommend a good book or books on the history of the space program? Specifically the Mercury-Apollo space race era? I've been eager to get a good dose of history on that era.

Even though you might be sick of the Apollo 13 thing (I know I was when I read it), Jim Lovell's "Lost Moon" is pretty good.
