I'm a fan of the Terminator ride at Universal - at least the opening bit, with the whole Cyberdyne queue and preshow videos. Especially the usage of the phrase "information superhighway".

Nope. His Marine Corps background and the glowing green eyes (which *didn't* catch on) were Justice League inventions. He was just an architect before. I remember them saying they wanted to have the contrast of this dude who was a focused military man to better play off Flash's goofy ass in the series. And the glowing eyes were a semi-replacement for the usual Lantern mask John doesn't wear.

Same here. I mean, I knew Kyle from the Superman animated series (or the Hal/Kyle hybrid they called Kyle, but I didn't know that at the time lol), but John was definitely the *main* Green Lantern in mind for years until I started reading the Geoff Johns GL comics.

Dude, Question was hilariously kooky, but his best moment was easily from Question Authority.

Or really anytime he was with Huntress.

    Pretty much

Ditto. T2 is a great action movie, deservedly considered a classic, but I hate that it ruined the closed causal loop of T1.

Anyhoo, maybe now one day we'll get a Cersei/Dany/Catherine(Belle) Sarah Connor team up flick written by GRRM.

Linda Hamilton needs to be on GoT.

Edit: Also, although I do like the closed causal loop, I do like the multiverse idea simply because there's some cool stories that don't "fit," like the aforementioned Frank Miller's Robocop vs the Terminator. Who needs John Connor when you have Robocop?

But yeah, The Terminator is my favorite of the franchise and I like it as a standalone. I don't think the sequels diminish it though in the same way that say, Alien 3 diminishes Aliens and kind of makes the whole third act of the film pointless. Really looking forward to Alien 5 with Hicks, hopefully, and maybe Lance Henriksen also? Hell bring Fassbender in as a David 18 or something. Fassbender should just be in every movie in that universe now.

I was hoping Fassbender would be in TFA since he talked about Star Wars a lot when promoting Prometheus.

Thanks to the trailer spoiling Genisys, I have no real interest in seeing it. Probably go see Jurassic World again next week.

True, my English friend, but then again...

Of course, we made sure to give it extra special to the German mercenaries you hired...

But, we all got over that family tiff, and united to beat Hitler.

And 239 years later, we're the best of friends. [face_love]

I love that picture of Captain America punching Hitler. (Apparently the Germans - whom we weren't at war with at the time that issue came out - weren't as amused)

But the true hero in the Marvel Universe is the Human Torch, who was the one who killed Hitler in his bunker. (Actually, that's not true either, as it was actually a time-traveling Deadpool who killed a time-traveling Hitler who was trying to kill Nick Fury, and then dumped the bullet-ridden body back in the bunker).

    Anyways, HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!

As someone who lives in DC - do you have a name for this used bookstore? Serious question.
