Anybody else watch this show, and are waiting for the new season's premiere this Thursday? Come on, this show is funny, and awesome!
Louie is the best FX comedy-- well, one of the best comedies ever-- but Archer is really great too. That three-parter to bridge seasons 2 and 3 was a really weird choice.
Considering the lead times in animation, it was probably something they had ready by fall, and to hold fans over till Season 3 proper. Also, it answered how Archer handed the death of his fiancee, which would've sucked to have waited to find out until now to see.
Archer is awesome. I only wish that they'd be quicker in releasing the DVDs. Took them nearly 15 months to get Season One out to the UK. Slow to put it on TV too, so i'll be watching the new premiere through... other means so I'm not waiting months.
The voice actor for Archer has got to have some serious cash. The amount of Adult Swim and Fox shows I've heard him in is outrageous.
People actually watched that show? I made it about 2 minutes into the second episode before the rampant misogyny forced me away. Funny? Well, maybe to someone, but I am clearly not that target demographic.

Not a 20-something, drunkard, frat-boy, or stoner who has never had a girlfriend he couldn't inflate.
Sorry, was that over-the-top rude? It's just that I sincerely and honestly cannot imagine any other demographic that would like the show. I'm not trying to flame. That is how I honestly feel after watching an episode.
Interesting coming from a self-professed James Bond fan. And I don't think she was offended: merely "facepalming". It takes a bit getting the knack of the JCC culture: you'll get there, eventually.
I cannot see anyone who has had a mature, adult, emotional relationship with a member of the opposite sex thinking this show is funny without something (like maybe weed or alcohol) impairing cognitive function. If it was a spy spoof cartoon, that would be fine. But it isn't. What I saw was spy-type characters filled with crotch-focused humor, particularly in the form of body cavities and sex toy gadgets, with nothing approaching a plot, aside from whether or not the main character might be having sex with his own mother. And the animation style is extremely crude without any redeeming reason. Even South Park, which prides itself on the crude animation as part of the joke (even though they are using MAYA to create it), and is heavily fixated on crotch humor because the characters are children, will pick a cultural aspect and satirize it. When they pick a spy theme, they make fun of it, and incidentally have potty humor. Is rape funny? George Carlin managed to put together a routine, and South Park managed one in the critique of Indiana Jones 4, but aside from that, no. And what I saw of Archer was not funny to me either. Pretty much the same reason. It reminded me of a Stan-Lee based sex-comic superhero cartoon. It wasn't funny either. For pretty much the same reason. "Oh look, her spy gear is shaped like a vibrator. And that one's a tampon dispenser. Isn't that funny?" No, just misogynistic.
