Are Jacen and Jaina still currentley Padawans???

    No they are Jedi Knights as stated in the dramatis personae

    Well luke wants to make a new jedi council and thats been around aslong as the idea of padawans, so why can't luke use the term???

    Actually, people have it a bit backwards.

    Padawan has been around since 1974/1975.
    The Jedi Council has been around since 1994-1999.

    We've known about Padawans far longer than we have known about a Jedi Council. About 20 or so years longer.

    For us, "Padawan" has been an integral term to Star Wars since the beginning. "Jedi Council" has not. :)

    However, for "them," it's a completely different story. References to Jedi training protocols, including terms such as "Padawan" seem to have been razed from common knowledge, whereas the Jedi Council has not.
