Are there any free anti-virus programs?

    I think I have a bug of sorts,when I play online gaming my connection is great for about 10 seconds(about 50 ping)and then my connection craps out.And when I download certain things it cuts out and reconnects.I know I have a virus of sorts cause my PC ran great untill about a month ago?I called my internet provider and he ran tests to my modem and everything was fine my ping averaged at about 40?Im just confused?

    I find that CWS Shredder is awesome, too.
