Are there any future plans for NJO era comics?

Or are they going to wait for the serries to end so they don't controdict anything? Or (even worse) are they not going to do it all? There are so many possibilities for great action like the serries with Quinlan Vos and Aalya Secura. They could do the New Plymto resistance for cool ground stuff, the evacuation of Kubaz for great fighter action. The fall of the outer and mid rim for a cool military drama. Or do something totally new like another Jedi strike mission. That would be so cool in comic form. I just think it's a waste for them not to use all this cool material for a great action packed comic.

I think the post-ROTJ time period is currently off limits to Dark Horse. They have not done anything in that time period in a while. It could also be a partial explanation for the delay in Crimson Empire III (I know there are other issues).

That doesn't make any sense, there are lots of comic Darkhorse did that are post ROTJ.

The Chewbacca comics were done during the NJO timeline.

But that was mainly flashback / memorial... it didn't really advance or progress the NJO story...

When was the last time Dark Horse put out a post-ROTJ story?

Chewbacca was released near the very start of NJO and was mostly flashback. Union came out just about the same time as (maybe a little before) the start of the NJO too. I don't think there has been anything released since then that occured post-ROTJ.

That would mean nothing post-ROTJ in almost 3 years.

I just thought of one possible outlier from my theory - I have not read Underworld yet - when does it occur in the timeline?

The potential for awesome visuals are off the scale. I'd definately give the artists a totally new look to draw from.

Underworld The Yavin Vassilika happens before ANH, I think. (Haven't read it either, but that's what I understood from TNEGTC.)

Okay, so my "theory" still stands. There have not been any post-ROTJ comics in nearly three years. The time period is probably temporarily "off limits" to Dark Horse.

There's that, plus I think that they are not involved in NJO thus are not allowed to do anything that could affect the storyline.

I think DH doing a NJO storyline would be totally awesome. I'm not even through reading all of them yet, but the story is so very good. A comic book run would enhance the enjoyment of it.

"Probobly cause they dont want to contridict Marvel."

Wow, Chissdude is even more incoherent than usual. ;)

If they got some great artists a good plot going, it could be some of the best comics yet.
