Lit Are there any other SW comics with the Yuuzhan Vong besides Invasion?

I haven't read any of the novels in which they wreak havoc, but I really enjoyed this warrior tribe in the Invasion comic series. They had a great, creepy look and were pretty badass.

On that note, are the novels worth reading? Any of them with the Vong?

That one from SW Tales, and they appear a few times in Legacy volume 1, but they are not as important to that story as they are for Invasion and the one from Tales.

If you want more Vong, the New Jedi Order novels are the best place to go, series starts with Vector Prime (though at 19 books, it's a pretty considerable investment of both time and resources). If you're specifically looking at comics, Vong characters show up in various roles during the Legacy comics (including a Vong villain in one of the later arcs), though these are set approx. a century after Invasion and the NJO, meaning that they give away certain things about how that conflict ended.

Beyond the SW Tales and Legacy comic, there aren't any further appearances really beyond say the actual NJO novels themselves. I would recommend them and you definitely get to see the Vong and their society. The early ones actually tend to be more about the menace the Vong but later on delves more into showing them as characters instead of a numberless unbeatable horde.

There's X-Wing Mercy Kill but that's it beyond NJO.

In addition to that, there's another Tales comic, Revenants, that, while it doesn't actually feature Vong, it is set during the the Yuuzhan Vong War. It's a Han Solo vs. Boba Fett story.

The Chewbacca comic also has a few flashbacks to Vector Prime and the Sernpidal mission, but I don't remember if any Vong actually are shown.

Thanks for all the responses, guys!

I find it strange that they have appeared in so few comics. They seem to be perfectly tailored to the medium and would be big sellers I think...

If that was the case, Invasion wouldn't have been up on indefinite hiatus.

Though you may be interested to know that the idea for an extragalactic invasion originally came from Dark Horse, not from Del Ray. That's why Nom Anor first showed up in Crimson Empire II/III (which I guess makes in another comic with some minor Vong appearances).

The Vong and Fleet stuff is awesome. It's that most of the protagonists are unlikable.

Not so much resources if you get them used on amazon for like 1 cent apiece :)
This. Invasion was awesome... except for the main plot [face_plain]
