Are there plans for the forums for May 25th? Star Wars 30th Anniversary?

I know that lots of folks will be away at C4 but are there any plans to celebrate the "birthday" of Star Wars on May 25th?

 

Didn't we start something last year? We celebrated something Thank the Maker Day?
Whatever it was, the banner currently up in CT was originally made for that

 

Yes we did and it was my idea [or at least one of my sock's ideas ]

I didn't remember when we did it last year but I figured this year we should do something on the 25th. You know, hand out birthday cake, play pin the ear on the Gungan.

 

All the cool kids are going to C4. I'll be sitting at home with a party hat on. So yes, plans?

 

Right now, we're just focusing on April Fool's.

Dark_Jedi_Kenobi , I guess I'm thinking something along the lines of some banners with birthday cakes and Star Wars. Some threads talking about what SW means in your life, etc.

I hope this year you do nothing for April Fools. That would be the best gimmick.

Dark_Jedi_Kenobi, update the # of the anniversary, and we can certainly rotate that in to celebrate the franchise.

I think her pregnancy is all a hoax to set us up for some big prank.

 

I'll not be able to attend C4 (as I'm living in the UK and frankly don't have thousands of pounds to spend flying to LA for a SW Convention) So, any party plans would be mucho appreciated guys.

Why not have fresh banners/icons for the 30th anniversary? Why not turn this into a unique, one off celebration on the boards. Afterall, Star Wars will only be 30 once in its life. Thank-The-Maker Day can always come back next year. This is a Star Wars site. Star Wars will be 30 this year. This should be a big thing for us (for those not going to C4, anyway)

I'll get started on the balloons, if someone else can go and get the party hats.

 

We've got an open door policy for banner submissions if you feel so inclined and creative.

Will we get some 30th birthday icons as well?
