I'm thinking of buying a couple of books, but not sure if they are worth it.

    Secrets of the Sith
Secrets of Shadows of the Empire

Is the sith book just a rehash of the comics and what little info was gathered from TPM? Is it worth getting?

As for the shadows book, are there any really cool tidbits of EU related information? How would you rate/review the book?

I have Secrets of the Sith...doesn't seem really worth it

But the science books instead, they're pretty cool

    Kevin...
If you're at all interested in the creative process for Star Wars EU products, then SoSotE is an extremely good source.

It goes in-depth into the whole origins of Star Wars "canon," the "bible," and the official timeline.

The first quarter of the book is essentially devoted to "Secrets of the EU," and not focusing specifically on Shadows of the Empire itself.

Later on, it really goes in-depth into the creation of Shadows elements - the character of Dash Rendar, Xizor, ships, etc.

The thing is pure gold. A top-notch reference book chocked-full of useful material.

I wish they'd do one exactly like it for the New Jedi Order. And maybe another one for Dark Horse Comics (or "Secrets of the Ongoing Series").

Thanks everyone, I'll probably look for the Shadows book, and pass on the Sith book.
