Yes, I am. I have been a member for almost two years now, but only recently have we actually started to have proper meets.


And I can't really claim the 'idea' for this poll as it was an old one that died.

 

Nope. There isn't one where I currently live but there is in my hometown. I doubt I'd join when I move back though. I don't think I'd be comfortable meeting anyone in person that I first met over the Internet.

 

No, you people all scare me. I would never meet any of you in real life.

 

I voted I was, but I am not anymore. I was even a city rep for awhile. But it just got to be too much drama and i had other things going on.

 

Heh, I saw that thread in FanForce Comms, droideka. Looked like fun, typical tfn drama . . .

Anyway, okay, so meeting up with people in real life is a bit scary sometimes, and even a bit weird too, but it can also be good fun. It just depends on the people, I think.

And Zebra, you could always start your own. You only need three members, if I remember correctly. And you could know them all already, i.e. friends from school/work etc.

No, when I joined the boards my FF was basically dead.

 

Yeah I'm in. I join them on occasion.

 

Ditto and it still is. Which isn't all that surprising considering my beloved city, collectively, has the attention span of a gnat.

 

Nope. There is a fan force in my area, but between classes and work. I have never taken the time to seek them out and join up.

 

I was, but I lost interest. I hang around in a different state's FF now.

 

Nope. But it might be interesting meeting a JCer in RL.

 

I have been a slight member of my fanforce for a couple of years, and thankfully met a couple of decent people because of it, albeit just recently (Hi Dan! )

I did meet some 'interesting' people too...so it balances out

 

Ah, I know you only said "decent people" because you know I would see this post.

No, Knoxville is the closest one and that's too far to drive.

I founded my local Fan Force. But then it was overrun by a bunch of punks from the local high school, and it died. Good riddance.

 

I used to be.

 

I consider myself a member, but not yet active since my RL schedule is crazy!
