One of my favorite tricks that my dad would do was to ask us if we'd like to go for ice cream. Excitedly, we would stop whatever we were doing, jump up and down and proceed to the front door. Once outside, with our dad a few paces behind, he would close the front door and lock us outside. I don't think that was very entertaining until I was older and saw him do it to other children.
