First of all there is no shame in being a Trekker. I really don't get SW fans who bash ST. Maybe its because they just don't like scifi in general and thus are only attracted to SW because its more fantasy than scifi.

Anyways, I am both a Trekker and a Warsie, and proud of both things.

Many other members are also both Trekkers and Warsies, including such luminaries as Rafa, Amy and Darth_Guimo amongst others.

I know there are also many others that although the are not Trekkers, they enjoy watching ST.

Im no way hardcore fan of Star Trek. However, I enjoy watchin ST: TNG. I like it. Of course not as much as SW but I do like it. :D

PS: As Corran said, there shall not be shame for Trekkies :p

    Thanks for the backup, Xanatos.

I am truly a hardcore Trekker. I own an uniform (I also have a Jedi costume) and I so much useless ST trivia in my head that I could be a guest Geek in "Beat the Geek" (I knew all the answers that the guest Trekker geek didn't know!)

BTW, the correct term for "Star Trek enthusiast" according to the dictionary is "Trekker" not "Trekkie." (I am not kidding!)

Also, remember that there is a lot of SW stuff that is a direct ripoff from ST. (From Oola to "proton" torpedoes. . .)

And yes, George Lucas is a Trekker. Just ask him. . .

With Klingons, there is no such thing as gentle!

    LOL

I would really like to see a street fight between a a Wookie and a Klingon, though!

    I'm both a Trekker and a Warsie.

And yes, that would be a fun thing to watch. My bet is on the wookie though, he can rip of the klingon's hands.

What would you rather choose, to be a captain of an enterprise or a Jedi or some other creature in SW?

I would choose to be a captain of the Enterprise, since I can go to the Holodeck and just program a SW scenario.

Starfleet Captain hands down. . .

A couple of those dudes could beat a Jedi. . .

I mean, there is no way a Jedi can block more than two phaser blasts at the same time. . .

And besides, SW ships SUCK when compared to ST ships. . .

Any ST ship could kick an ISDs ass!

STAR WARS RUlES! WOOKIE will smash Klingon! And another difference that makes SW cooler than Trekkie, Straship clothing vs. Jedi Clothing. I rest my case. And phaser, shmeizer.

    Whats a Straship???

    LOL

Anyways, isn't this thread a bit out of place and kinda inviting to flaming and bashing?

Not that I don't enjoy SW vs ST conversations with rational, intelligent people. . . *g*

Are we talking VSD big, o SSD big?

Anyway es que soy un sucker for a dogfight, i just love killing TIE fighters.

No mano, no son tan grandes como un ISD...those things are HUGE.

Una relacion de tamaños. . .

. .la de SW es mas fantasia.

I used to be a huge trekkie, especially TNG. I also enjoyed the whole DS9 Dominion War storyline. I kind of liked Voyager, it wasn't the best trek, but still better than 95% of the crap on TV now a days. I was VERY PO'd when Cable TV of San Juan removed UPN from it's lineup. I missed the final seasons of Voyager and I've watched only ONE episode of Enterprise (the newest series), back when I was in Washington for a week back in May.

So it's not like I'm not interested anymore , it's just that I can't watch it! I'm still looking forward to the new TNG movie, though.

    Still, SW is better. ;)
