Untill '01 I wasn't anything like you'd call an avid moviegoer. My friends never wanted to go with me to the movies, and going alone or just with my parents wasn't that special then, either.
But now, since I've reached the magic number of 16 years of age and have new friends I really enjoy going to the movies and try to go there a lot. IF I can afford it (I'm a poor student lol)

I'm a big movie fan. I see at least one movie at the cinema each week. I also rent quite a bit and own a collection of DVDs.

    Movies rule. ;)

Circa 87-92 I was very avid. I went to at lest one a week.

Since then I have tapered off significantly, but I still see tons of movies at home.

Last week I went to two in the theater though. Once TJD get ourselves out of our financial crisis (no paying jobs for either of us for over a month+ hurt), I expect we'll go to many, since she works in film and is a major buff.

Ok, so far, I've seen 9 movies this year. That makes this the second most active moviegoing year for me, after 1997. I doubt I'll be able to break that record this year, though, as The Fellowship of the Ring is the only other movie that I might see.

I see a few movies a year. Patriot, Crouching Tiger, Gladiator, Episode I, and once in a while I'll go to the theatre with a friend.

I prefer plays, though. I go at least monthly to my local theatre for whatever production they've put on.

Next year, I'm going to try for one movie per week, not counting seeing AOTC twenty times. That's 72 movies in 2002.

I'll still see at least 5 more movies this year, for a total of 36.

I see a movie about once every week (on Friday), but I haven?t been doing that for the last two weeks because I haven?t been impressed with what?s been coming out. That?ll change with LOTR though, and hopefully I?ll get my fair share of AOTC viewing in 2002.

The most I've ever paid for a movie is $5.50. I never go in the evening, only matinees. (The only exception will be the 12:01 showing of AOTC, of course!)

Do you really want me to make a list of films that I have seen in theatres? I could be here all night.

    Are you an avid moviegoer?

I was until my son was born. Now the little 20 pound 1 1/2 year old drains all my energy.

I've seen it only once. I love it and it's my favorite film of the year, but I probably won't see it again until the DVD. I can't really imagine myself sitting at the theater for three hours to see something I've already seen. I also won't get to see another 2001 movie until 2002. I'll try to catch A Beautiful Mind and maybe Ali, too.

By year's end, I saw 10 movies in theaters, almost as much as I saw in my record year of 1997. And I've started 2002 with a bang, seeing two great movies (A Beautiful Mind and Beauty and the Beast: Special Edition) in just the first week of the year, though neither of them really count as 2002 films. I hope to make 2002 the year I truly become an avid moviegoer.

Uh... my hubby and I are such movie GEEKS. I've lost count of how many films we've seen together in the theater (I've seen LOTR five times). One year, our rental account at the local video store was the second highest in the whole city.

I bet you i'm the biggest movie-goer here. I LOVE movies. I've gone to the theater almost every friday for the last three years. I've seen countless movies from silent films to foreign. I own over 275 DVDs.

    Beat that! :D

I am an extremely avid moviegoer! If I wasn't going to college (and had no money) and had a car to get to the theatre that someone stupidly built on the completely other side of town from the college, I would go to the movies probably twice a week. Right now, to see LOTR! I have seen it five times so far and want to see it a lot more except it is hard to get there!

I plan to go to the movies as often as possible during the summer when I have a job (Star Wars and Spiderman, here I come!!! :D )

More so these days, there's so many cool movies coming out :)

I used to go every week when I was a kid too. I saw all the Star Wars movies the first time round, all the Indiana Jones movies, Tron, Ghostbusters...and many more!
