Are you gonna buy the Episode III poster?

I don't know if I am. Maybe if it comes down in price. Really would like to get a double sided one.

 

I highly doubt that you will find it for less than the $20 that SWS.com is selling it for. Because once their supply is gone, the price of it on the secondary market (ie: eBay) will go through the roof.

 

It is already! I checked Ebay and most people are selling them for $30. I think they'll go down next year, though, when the movie finally comes out. I was able to get a AOTC teaser poster for 15 bucks at Suncoast.

 

Nope, not that impressed with it, plus I havent bought a teaser poster yet. Now when the real theatrical poster is released, yes, I have all five professinally framed with a slote for the prequeal posters watermarks.

 

Already ordered, shipped yesterday, should have it in a few days.

 

Probably sometime next year when it's on ebay for $10 or I have extras of the Ep. 1 & 2 teasers, so maybe I'll trade for it. Prequel teasers and 1-sheets are not holding their value, so if you have the patience to wait, you can get them really cheap once the initial excitement wears down. I was not impressed with this teaser this time and don't really find it worth the $20 that SWS wants for it. IMHO, this poster is simply a rehash of the Ep.1 teaser poster in a different artistic style. The Ep.1 poster teased Anakin as Vader with a shadow, now they're just doing it again with a cape. Visually I find it pretty interesting, but the concept has been done.

 

When it goes down in price maybe...

I have the other two prequel teasers, so I ordered this one and it's one it's way. I like it, though it's my least favorite of the three. I can't decide if I like the TPM or AOTC teaser better. They're both haunting and hinting at what is to come.

 

I got my Ep III poster today in the mail from the Star Wars Shop. Unfortunately, both ends of the poster were pretty damaged. I already emailed Customer Service about getting a replacement.

You would think they would know how to ship posters properly by now.

 

I'm thinking about getting it. Its not as good as TPM teaser but I still like it.

 

before i answer, lets get some things straight:

1. i'm not a prequel basher
2. i don't hate George Lucas
3. i'm EXCITED about ROTS

now, having said that, THE POSTER SUCKS!!!! the phantom menace poster was way better. the whole cape thing just looks silly. what a waste. anything would have been better. anakin/vader should be menacing. the image should strike fear into the hearts of children and gungans. the new poster is like a bad joke.

 

I was a little put off when I first saw it put it has grown on me and I'll still buy it.

 

I got mine today as well and not only were all four corners crumpled, but it also has a repeating crumple that runs vertically the entire length of the poster.

Honestly, it looks like damage that occured prior to it being packaged in the poster tube.

Not a huge deal because I can get it replaced, but it is inconvenient and it frustrates me because the same exact thing happened with my AOTC teaser poster. Bah!

As for the design, not my fave out of the three. But, gotta have it to fill in the final spot next to the other two.
