I already ordered the JCS double trigger. It came highly recommended.

I never bothered to mess with the internals too much. I clean my gun twice a year. Once at the beginning of the season and once at the end. I'll wipe it down after a session but other than that, I just roll with it. I'm of the philosophy if it ain't broke don't fix it.

That's the point. While you certainly aren't going to have problems with your A5 due to the enormous amount of paint overspray and the generally rough inner shell, polishing out the whole thing makes the bolt move a bit faster, and with less recoil.

Edit: Oh, and by the way, now that I have a response trigger, anyone who's within a hundred yards of me is going to wind up like this. ;)

Edit #2: Oh, why can't we use grenades this year? There's just so much fun to be had!

When did the casual Chicago Force paintball outting turn into an "I-kan-out-******-U-a-thon"?

    Bosh

Heh . . . all in good fun. Personally, I just used it as an excuse to get people to watch a video featuring a Furby in a microwave. ;)

As opposed to never, once every couple of years, or all the time?

Well, I can see some members who may be on the edge about whether to give CF paintballing a chance, intimidated by all the hard-core talk. There's a difference between talkin' gear and talkin' game.

And let's be honest, in every game we see several high-tech players get their asses handed to them by a n00b with a rental marker.

And Haz' if you're saying that the given distance of my person, measured in kilometers from any CF event is inversely proportional to the coolness factor of said event, then I'd have to agree with your algebra.

    Bosh

    True that!!!

It is a good time for any level of player. If you are intimidated you shouldn't be. We're all talk.

    I love that!

I've been before also, and all this talk is making my head spin. But it's a great time, for no-skills like me.

    Embassy!

This is sooooo true. I brought my brother to play for the first time last Spring. I think he did better than me.

Forget that--try this sucker! With that many upgrades, the thing has to be extremely heavy and clumsy (you'd probably need a bipod to aim accurately after ten minutes of running about).

I seem to remember a certain Sithman who did ninja-style on like 6 players before being taken out. And he's only been with us a couple of times.

Has Tate's A5 changed since this shot, taken from the outing this spring?

And he was using a the standard rental Tippmann 98 Custom when he did it.

Mark, could you update the first post so folks don't have to sift through this thread of silliness?

TFN's board software is piss poor so you'll have to cut'n'paste© the map link.

Just a reminder, Blast Camp does not have food or drinks available on-site. In years past, we usually stop at the Subway that's at the exit from the Interstate and store the sandwiches til later. But, if ya wanna save time and money, bring food from home and a cooler and your good to go. I will be bringing a cooler of bottled water but anyone else can volunteer to bring snacks or drinks to share with the rest of the soldiers.

P.S. Make sure, if you're driving, that your license plates are not expired.
