I'm a righty. I wonder why the majority of people in the world are right-handed? Is it genetic, do you think?

 

That is an interesting question, Happy. One that I'm sure has been answered sometime during the course of time... but, what do you take me for? A know-it-all?


Myself, Righty. My left hand naturally sucks at everything. Compared to my right hand which is much better and good at arm wrestling... maybe because I play tennis.

Someone I worked with once told me that lefties are "special", I said you're not special. You're just a freak!

That said, I remember reading somewhere that left handed people have faster reaction times by nearly a second than right handed people. It must be a compensation thing. Weird, huh?

 

Compensating for using the opposite hand? We don't need compensation. Sure there are times when being right-handed is easier (eg, writing in binded books) but it's not really some disability being left-handed. We are not special, just less common compared to the great number of right-handed people.
