I added a few roster spots. Teams will have 30 spots, including 4 bench spots. Given that we have so few teams, I don't think it should be a problem. That said, if anyone wants to object before the draft starts, I'll cut it back down a bit.

I can live with that. Looking forward to all the fun folks!

At least 4 of us are there live right now :)

I make no claims in advance about drafting a good team :p For that matter, I rather doubt I'll be making any claims later, either [face_laugh]

I'm glad that I got there in time to draft.

Can we make it a catcher-only league? I'll take my chances with Mauer and McCann against any two other catchers out there :p

I've only got one good catcher.... so no. haha.

Oh, and did I mention I also have Russell Martin? According to yahoo's list, he's supposedly the #5 catcher out there :p

And I took him in the 20th round, when some of you didn't have any catchers yet :p

I had Martin last season and he was a major bust for me. There was no way I was going to take him this year. Mauer got plucked right before I was going to take him. The man is a stud.

I've never played with so many roster spots available. It'll make the dynamics fairly interesting. Is there an add/drop limit? I guess I should check the settings.

No add/drop limit, and players are available in FA immediately after the draft if you need to make any moves now (no waiver post-draft). There is a waiver still after you drop a player

I already added Adam LaRoche, since Berkman's on the DL.

I need the Rangers to officially put Kinsler on the DL so that I can make moves. Until then, I've got nothing.

Yeah, there shouldn't be much for people to do immediately.

I'm somewhat amused that I have 3 of the 5 Braves starting pitchers... plus a few of the everyday players. Probably not a good thing, since its too many eggs in one basket, but 2 of those three pitchers (Lowe and Hudson) were with my final 3 picks, so I can live with that.

I like my starting pitching rotation. Should compete this season.

Same here. I've just never played with so many spots. It might change the dynamics and strategy I usually employ quite a bit.

Same here... will have to see as the season begins and goes on.

And I made my second roster move, picking up Ryan Theriot to replace Jose Reyes (DL)

I'm taking the wait and see approach with my team. Other than following the Cubs, I haven't really been following baseball that closely the past 2-3 years. I'm hoping this will help me get back into it more by forcing me to pay attention.

I'm fairly stoked about my pitching staff. I do have some worried about my offense though. Pujols can't carry me all year.

Pujols can do a lot though...

Its going to be harder for one person to carry a team when the teams are notably larger, though.

It'll be interesting this year, as a slumping/injured individual player won't do as much damage to a team due to a larger roster size.

Also, the chances of having a very tight group in the standings at the top is going to be virtually impossible, since there are only six teams.

Tonight won't yield me many stats at all, or any if my one player on those teams doesn't play.
