Arena Battle Playset

I picked it up. How about all you guys? Here's my review on it.
Well, the fact is, most playsets come with a figure: the Naboo theed hangar ones both came with battle droids and didn't the Carbonite Chamber come with a figure? This did not. As far as detail goes, this was pretty accurate. It also does well with figure set up. The only fault I see in it is that it only comes with two break-apart columns rather than three. Yes, I know, not all three of the columns broke. But actually, not even two did. So it either should have come with three columns or one.

So my conclusion is, this is a very good playset but it could use some adjustments. But, overall, I it

This playset looks great! The box is HUGE! My wife used half a roll of wrapping paper to wrap this up for the boys to open on 12/25. I'm just glad that they are starting to build playsets for the figs again. My two boys are almost bored with the endtable playset they currently use.

 

I love it! The Arena Play Set looks SO COOL on my shelf in my room. Especially with my Acklay. I bought this playset even before I bought the Gunship! Hehe, I still haven't bought the Gunship! BUt I told my aprents to get it for me for Christmas, so hopefully......

As far as the columns go, Why not add the column that came with the Padme Arena Fig? Then you would have three!

As someone already pointed out I think you are supposed to use padmes. I don't know if its the same size or not but Hasbro seems to be doing alot of stuff like that with their figures. The clone pilot, deluxe 3po, deluxe yoda, etc.

 

droideka, I could add the column from arena Padme but it would look really weird because it's tiny compared to the columns in the arena playset.

 

use the two big ones that come with the playset to stand up and the smaller one just lie it in there broken it looks ok.

I think it's pretty Awesome!! Much better than previous SW playsets in terms of Size & Accuracy I agree about the pillars though, Good idea Chuck Also it comes with Many cool little Extras like that Masher machine thing, the Background, etc. Plenty of pegs for the figure's feet on bottom too.
2 things I don't like- 1 There are No pegs on the top Rocky area. 2 The part that slips on Above the doors in middle (With 2 Spires) has a propensity for falling off. Other than that I Love it

Hehe, I actually just left it as two. THe padme addition was just an idea.

What I want is Poggle the Lesser figure!!!! It would look so cool up on that platform

I LUB my playset too. for a few more hours then it gets packed up with the rest of the toys.

Can anyone post any pictures of the arena set up? I've seen the box but not it out of the box.

P.S. how much does it cost?

Oh, and I got my Arena Saturday when K-Mart had all SW toys 25% off. I think it was like $33, but regular price was $40 I think.

 

I got the Arena Playset! It is awesome! I love it! I also have the Republic Gunship. They are both sweet!
