Arena Football

EA Sports recently announced that they are going to produce an Arena Football game for 2006!

I have been kinda interested in Arena Football for a while now, so I will keep an eye out for this game.

Anyone else interested in this game?

All I really know about Arena Football is that every team plays indoors. What are the other main differences to NFL?

How many teams?

Is the game televised?

I had a look into this a few years ago, but now can't remember. I might try and find a website for the league...

Ok,

I wanted to learn more about the game, but unfortunately I couldn't find any rules information on the official website, so I looked up the sport at www.wikipedia.org

The main differences that I can see so far to NFL are:

* The field is 50 yards long, half the size of the NFL. The purpose of this is to increase scoring

* There are rebound nets, so if a Field Goal is missed, and it hits the nets next to the posts, and bounces back into play, the ball is 'live'.

* 8 players per side.

* Punting is illegal.

Arena football?! I'm sure it will sell four copies.

 

I want a XFL game.

 

I may give it a look over. Who knows, I will wait and see.

 

I'll have one of those 4 copies! I still got my Kurt Warner ArenaFootball Blitz. I wish it came out for DC instead of just the PSX though. I hope it plays like NFL Street without all the tricks and hip hop crap.

 

they were showing arena football on nbc, dont know if their season is over.

 

Arena Bowl 19 is tomorrow as my Colorado Crush go for there first ever title! Our original team the Denver Dynamite won Arena Bowl 1, but the owner went broke so we were without a team for 13 or so years.

 

Geez, when is EA going to remake Mutant League Football?

 

Isn't the Lingerie Bowl being developed into a fully fledged league?

If there was a console / computer game developed on that, would you purchase it?!
