Arena NHL Fantasy Hockey League (2009-2010)

If I could get a PM from anybody with NHL 10 for the Xbox 360, I will love you forever.

I'm having trouble with create a player, and getting that player started in my Pro Mode. It keeps starting a default player that I cant find to edit to what I want.

I really wish my goalies would stop playing each other. This is the third time in two weeks I think.

 

The schedule in general is annoying for this week. Almost every team played Monday, then almost nobody yesterday, everyone today, etc.

 

My players like to get injured.

 

Stupid Thanksgiving. If it wasn't for the massive amount of food I'm going to eat tomorrow I'd be very cross indeed.

Wow, This has been a very good season for me so far. As much as I hate Ovechkin, I hope he can carry me to a championship this year.

 

I think my team will do better now that I've actually figured out how to play.

I didn't realize you could set your lines up weeks in advance.

 

It's still a good idea to check them out every day. An injury or trade could screw you up.

 

Or in my case, every two hours.

Well, you've managed to get a tie going into the last day before the finals and my matchup is close too. Should be an interesting day.

 

So now it's me vs the one team I did not win against this season.

 

I honestly don't know how I made it to the finals. I was loosing 9-1 when I made my last post. What a comeback!

Well, let's hope this happens a lot.

 

I'm just wondering how when I was tied 5-5, I lost my matchup. I had more goals and wins (which should count pretty much more).

 

Last year they had a number of tie breakers starting with most goals but they changed it this season:

In the event that a playoff game ends in a tie, the deadlock is broken using the following system:

1. Winning percentage against this opponent during the regular season.
2. Playoff seed.

I still haven't been able to find out what is meant by winning percentage. Either they add up the total wins and losses between you and your opponent during the regular season or they just look at who won the weeks.

So against horsey's team you won 6-5 in Week 8 and lost 2-8 in Week 17. If the winning percentage tie breaker is done by what I first said then her record against you is 13-8, which would give her the edge and allow her to advance. But if we just go by who won the weeks then the record is simply 1-1. But you have the higher playoff seed so I have to assume the wins and losses are totalled.

I've been reading the Yahoo message boards and quite a few people have said they had the advantage for both tie breakers and still didn't advance so I'm not sure what's going on there. As much as I like playing fantasy hockey on Yahoo, they can really annoy the **** out of you sometimes, especially with position eligibility (Heatley should've been given RW status ages ago but I guess you can somehow have two LWs on one line ) .
