    Best of Seven Series

    (5) Game, Blouses (0) vs. (4) Instruments of Destruction (2)

Game 3: Instruments of Destruction at Game, Blouses

Home Cooking, monstrous first and fourth quarter offensive efforts, and amazing guard play got Game, Blouses the must-win they were searching for, and put them back in the series.

Scoring 39 points in the first quarter, Game, Blouses offense came out on fire. They lapsed a bit in the 2nd and 3rd, giving us a game tied at 89 as we began the fourth. But, Game, Blouses scored 40 in the final period to pull away and finally get their first win of the series.

Michael Jordan lead the way for Game, Blouses with 27 points, 13 assists, and 5 rebounds. His back court mate, Derrick Rose, added 19 points and 10 assists, to go along with 5 rebounds of his own. Carmelo Anthony threw in 23 points, and Game, Blouses shot 56.4% from the field on the night.

Charles Barkley, with 22 points, 10 rebounds, along with Karl Malone (20 points, 10 assists, 8 rebounds) and John Stockton (20 points, 9 assists) had strong nights in the losing effort for Instruments of Destruction.

Final Score: Game, Blouses 129, Instruments of Destruction 120

    Best of Seven Series

    (7) Los Angeles Courtsiders (0) vs. (2) God's Squad (2)

Game 3: God's Squad at Los Angeles Courtsiders

After coming so close in both games on the road, there was a sense of optimism that the Los Angeles Courtsiders might break through in game three and put the series in doubt.

Turns out, that feeling was wrong. Or simply indigestion.

God's Squad completely dominated this game. They held the Courtsiders to 43.8% shooting, while shooting 50.5% themselves. God's squad had a massive 60-37 edge on the boards, including 17-6 on the offensive glass. and, God's Squad got to the charity stripe 24 times - missing only three - while the Courtsiders only go there 9 times.

Kevin Garnett lead the way for God's Squad with 25 points, 16 rebounds, 8 assists, and 4 steals. Dwyane Wade added 21 points, 13 assists, and 12 rebounds, while Michael Jordan scored 25, grabbed 8 rebounds, and dished out 6 assists. It's probably telling that a stat line of 18 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 assists from LeBron James is an afterthought in this game.

God's Squad's starting Shaq scored 24 points and grabbed 9 rebounds, while the reserve Shaq scored 2 and grabbed 2 rebounds in just 2 minutes of action, and the Courtsiders' Shaq scored 15 and grabbed 7 rebounds.

Kobe Bryant was the Courtsiders bright spot with 20 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists.

The Courtsiders will look to stave off elimination in game four at home.

Final Score: God's Squad 117, Los Angeles Courtsiders 90

    (8) BCHPPRRST (1) vs. (1) The Lando System (1)

Game 3: The Lando System at BCHPPRRST

BCHPPRRST had no answer to Julius Erving.

And as a result, they've given home court back to The Lando System.

Erving scored 24 points, grabbed 16 rebounds (9 of them on the offensive glass), and set an aggressive pace that saw him get to the charity stripe 7 times, and his team get there 35 - compared to just 13 trips for BCHPPRRST.

Kevin McHale and Larry Bird each scored 20 in support of Erving, and Oscar Robertson served up 11 dimes.

The Lando System also flexed their defensive muscle, holding BCHPPRRST to just 9 second-quarter points

BCHPPRRST got 16 points each from Clyde Drexler and Dominique Wilkins, as well as 24 points and 11 rebounds from Bob McAdoo.

Final Score: The Lando System 113, BCHPPRRST 98

    (6) SEXY TRAIN (2) vs. (1) tom's new shells (0)

Game 3: tom's new shells at SEXY TRAIN

Tim Duncan put his team on his shoulders and carried them to one win away from the semifinals.

Duncan scored 29 points, grabbed 14 rebounds, dished out 6 assists, and blocked 3 shots. His 29 points were one shy of what Wilt Chamberlain (12) and Dirk Nowitzki (18) combined to score for tom's new shells.

LeBron James (17 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds), David Robinson (15 points, 7 rebounds - 6 of them off the offensive glass), and George Gervin (17 points, (7 assists) all came up big in support of Duncan.

tom's new shells got a double-double from Chamberlain, who grabbed 11 rebounds, and 18 points from Steph Curry, but will need more - and four straight wins - to not have their season end in disappointment.

Final score: SEXY TRAIN 117, tom's new shells 96

    Best of Seven Series

    (5) Game, Blouses (1) vs. (4) Instruments of Destruction (2)

Game 3: Instruments of Destruction at Game, Blouses

They say a series doesn't begin until the home team loses a game.

If that's the case, we're still waiting for this series to begin.

Game, Blouses got a heroic 25 point, 11 assist, 6 rebound, 4 block, 4 steal performance from Michael Jordan, 17 points and 10 rebounds from Patrick Ewing, and 20 points each from Carmelo Anthony and Derrick Rose to hold home court, and turn this into a best-of-three.

Game, Blouses found a way to overcome Instruments of Destruction's 53.8% shooting from the field and 52-43 edge on the glass. In part, that was their three-point shooting, as Game, Blouses connected on 50% of their shots, while Instruments of Destruction didn't make one of their four attempts. In part, it was their pressing defense, forcing Instruments of Destruction into 17 turnovers. And, in part, it was the will of Michael Jordan.

Instruments of Destruction got 27 points from Charles Barkley, 25 points and 10 rebounds from Karl Malone, and 10 points, 14 rebounds from Wilt Chamberlain.

Final Score: Game, Blouses 114, Instruments of Destruction 108

    (7) Los Angeles Courtsiders (0) vs. (2) God's Squad (3)

Game 3: God's Squad at Los Angeles Courtsiders

One statement that makes absolutely no sense, and yet makes perfect sense sums up this game:

Shaquille O'Neal was determined he would not be swept by Shaquille O'Neal, despite Shaquille O'Neal's best efforts.

Shaq, the Courtsiders version, scored 26 points, grabbed 19 rebounds (8 of them on the offensive glass), and blocked three shots. Shaq, on God's Squad, scored 31, grabbed 14 rebounds, and also blocked three shots.

With Shaq vs. Shaq (almost) a stalemate, Kobe Bryant stepped up to score 37 points to help stave off elimination.

Kevin Garnett scored 18 and grabbed 13 rebounds, while LeBron James scored 26, and grabbed 7 rebounds while dishing out 8 assists on God's Squad.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar added 10 points and 10 rebounds, and Magic Johnson turned in 11 points and 14 assists.

    (8) BCHPPRRST (1) vs. (1) The Lando System (2)

Game 3: The Lando System at BCHPPRRST

The Lando System had a change to put a stranglehold on this series.

Twice in the final 30 seconds, Chris Paul made a clutch shot to make it a one-possession game.

But, four times, Dominique Wilkins showed his composure, hit his free throw, and got BCHPPRRST the win they needed to tie the series up.

Paul ended the game with 20 points and 9 assists, while Julius Erving added 32 points in the losing effort.

Wilkins had 23 points, while Bob McAdoo had 18 points and 8 rebounds, and Paul George added 11 points in just 13 minutes off the bench.

The series, now a best-of-three, returns to Boston for Game five.

    (6) SEXY TRAIN (3) vs. (1) tom's new shells (0)

Game 3: tom's new shells at SEXY TRAIN

Is it a blip on the radar? Or the start of a new trend?

tom's new shells will just be happy that the question is being asked, as they avoided elimination and forced a game five back in Oracle Arena.

tom's new shells used a blitz to end the first quarter on a 14-2 run which saw SEXY TRAIN hit only one field goal over the final 4:50 of the quarter to give themselves a lead they would not relinquish. The lead would be 20 when we got to the fourth quarter, allowing them to cruise to their first win of the series.

Steph Curry lead the way with 33 points, 10 assists and 8 rebounds, hitting 12 of his 22 shots and 6 of his 10 triples. Kevin Durant added 27 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists, and tom's new shells in whole shot 43.5% from downtown.

SEXY TRAIN got 31 points from LeBron James, and 15 points and 15 rebounds from Tim Duncan.
