    (5) Game, Blouses (2) vs. (4) Instruments of Destruction (2)

Game 5: Game, Blouses at Instruments of Destruction

It would appear that the series has finally started.

Two teams that were evenly matched in just about every statistical category finally saw the road team win, and Game, Blouses will head home with a chance to clinch the series in game six on their own court.

Game, Blouses shot 51.2% from the field, while Instruments of Destruction shot 51.8%. Both teams were 1-for-7 from downtown. Instruments of Destruction grabbed 44 rebounds, Game, Blouses 43.

But, Game, Blouses was slightly more aggressive in attacking the basket, and rewarded with more trips to the foul line. They hit on 27 of 31 free throws, while their opponents hit 16 of 22. That's a plus-11 at the line, in a game decided by nine points.

Michael Jordan lead the way for Game, Blouses with 27 points, including 7-for-8 from the charity stripe. Carmelo Anthony added 13 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists, and Patrick Ewing added 20 points and 8 rebounds.

Karl Malone lead Instruments of Destruction with 26 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 assists, WIlt Chamberlain and Julius Erving each scored 14, and Charles Barkley added 15.

Final Score: Game, Blouses 114, Instruments of Destruction 105

    (7) Los Angeles Courtsiders (1) vs. (2) God's Squad (3)

Game 5: Los Angeles Courtsiders at God's Squad

LeBron James did a little bit of everything. Kevin Garnett did everything but score a bunch. And Dwyane Wade scored early and often.

God's Squad started hot, got to a halftime lead of 20, and cruised to a series-clinching victory, becoming the first team to punch their ticket to the semifinals.

James scored 26 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out 10 assists. Garnett grabbed 17 rebounds and dished out 15 assists, and Wade scored 11 points in the first quarter on his way to 27 for the game. Those three paced God's Squad to shoot 56.5% from the field.

The Courtsiders got 18 points from Magic Johnson, and 15 each from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Kobe Bryant, and Shaquille O'Neal, who also grabbed 10 rebounds. They also got a chance to get some more golfing and fishing in a little earlier.

Final Score: God's Squad 111, Los Angeles Courtsiders 93
    Box Score

God's Squad wins the Series 4-1.

    (8) BCHPPRRST (2) vs. (1) The Lando System (2)

Game 4: BCHPPRRST at The Lando System

Forty-Eight Minutes weren't enough to decide game five of this tight series.

There were no heroics to force overtime, mind you. Just missed execution.

Larry Bird only hit one-of-two free throws with 50 seconds left, drawing his team level, when hitting the pair would have staked them a lead.

18 seconds later, Clyde Drexler missed a runner that would have put his team up. Bird misfired from the field 14 seconds later, and Moses Malone completed the final minute with a miss at the buzzer.

Bird, however, would make up for this miscues in overtime, making his first two shots, on his way to scoring ten points in the extra session, and giving his team a win that puts their opponent on the brink.

Bird ended the game with 19 points, a number equaled by his teammate Julius Erving. Kevin McHale lead all of The Lando System with 24 points, while Chris Paul was masterful with 20 points, 14 assists, and just one turnover.

BCHPPRRST got 21 points and 13 rebounds from Dominique Wilkins, 16 points from Drexler, and 12 each from Moses Malone and Bob McAdoo.

Final Score: The Lando System 111, BCHPPRRST 102

    (6) SEXY TRAIN (3) vs. (1) tom's new shells (1)

Game 5: SEXY TRAIN at tom's new shells

tom's new shells found a way to stay alive, once again.

Kevin Durant scored 25 points, Steph Curry scored 19, and Wilt Chamberlain put up a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds to help fuel the win that, once again, extended their season.

Shooting 50% (11-for-22) from long range certainly didn't hurt, either.

SEXY TRAIN got low-impact double-doubles from LeBron James (11 points, 10 assists, 7 rebounds) and Tim Duncan (11 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 blocks, as well as 22 points from David Robinson.

SEXY TRAIN will look to get back on-track at home in game six, with their third chance to close the series out.

Final score: tom's new shells 110, SEXY TRAIN 119

    Best of Seven Series

    (5) Game, Blouses (3) vs. (4) Instruments of Destruction (2)

Game 6: Instruments of Destruction at Game, Blouses

Michael Jordan in a game six with a chance to close out John Stockton and Karl Malone. The result seems obvious, right?

    Not this Time!

And it wasn't even that close.

Instruments of Destruction rallied from their home-loss in game 5 to force a Game Seven behind 34 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists from Malone.

Charles Barkley added 21 points, and Julius Erving 15 points and 9 rebounds, as Instruments of Destruction shot 56.1% from the field, and had a 53-46 edge on the glass.

Game, Blouses shot 42.6% from the field, and made just 3-of-11 on three-point attempts, offsetting their 21-16 edge on the offensive glass. Jordan scored 17 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, dished out 6 assists. Carmelo Anthony was the high scorer for Game, Blouses with 21.

    (8) BCHPPRRST (2) vs. (1) The Lando System (3)

Game 6: The Lando System at BCHPPRRST

Leading by 12 as the fourth quarter began, it looked as if BCHPPRRST would force a decisive Game Seven.

Julius Erving, however, had other ideas.

Erving scored 6 of his 40 points in the final 94 seconds. He hit a jump shot with 44 seconds left to bring the game within one, and then grabbed the rebound after Clyde Drexler couldn't connect and Dominique Wilkins couldn't get the tip to follow. Then, at the buzzer, Erving hit the dagger, completing the comeback and eliminating BCHPPRRST.

Erving added 15 rebounds to complete the effort as he powered his team to the semifinals. The Lando System also got 21 points from Kevin McHale, and 11 points and 10 rebounds from Bill Russell. Those three helped to power The Lando System to 55.2% shooting.

BCHPPRRST got 22 points from Wilkins and 14 from Drexler, though each will lament not getting two more in the final minute. Bob McAdoo also scored 19.

Final Score: The Lando System 105, BCHPPRRST 104

    (6) SEXY TRAIN (3) vs. (1) tom's new shells (2)

Game 6: tom's new shells at SEXY TRAIN

Three chances to close out tom's new shells.

Three losses by the SEXY TRAIN.

And now, we get a decisive game seven.

All ten starters in this game scored in double figures, and while SEXY TRAIN had the two brightest individual stars, tom's new shells had the better team performance. And that was the difference.

Tim Duncan, with 27 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists, and LeBron James, with 21 points, 10 assists, and 6 rebounds, had the best statistical lines of the night. They were joined on SEXY TRAIN by 17 points from David Robinson, 16 from George Gervin, and 11 from Tony Parker.

On tom's blue shells, the brightest spots belonged to Dirk Nowitzki, with 19 points and 15 rebounds, and Wilt Chamberlain, with 19 points and 9 rebounds. They were joined by 20 points from Ray Allen (on 55% shooting, including 50% from three), 14 points from Steph Curry, and 19 points (and 8 assists) from Kevin Durant.

tom's blue shells were more efficient - shooting 50.6% from the field, compared to 46.6% for SEXY TRAIN - and had a slight edge on the glass, 50-44.

Game Seven will feature two teams that have had 3-game winning streaks in the same series. Can tom's blue shells pull off the improbably comeback? Or can SEXY TRAIN convert in their fourth chance to close out.

Final score: tom's new shells 116, SEXY TRAIN 106

    (5) Game, Blouses (3) vs. (4) Instruments of Destruction (3)

Game 7: Game, Blouses at Instruments of Destruction

When Instruments of Destruction opened the game on a 6-0 run and Game, Blouses started 0-for-5 from the field, it looked like the home team might roll to a win and advance.

    Those looks were deceiving.

Game, Blouses answered that opening run with a 20-4 run of their own to take a commanding lead halfway through the first quarter, and never look back.

Michael Jordan, naturally, lead the charge, with .20 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds. Jordan was efficient, hitting 9 of his 13 field goals, and setting the tone for good shot selection from the field. His teammates followed course, shooting 46.4% from the field, but more importantly 33.3% from three-point land, where their opponents made just 2 of 10 attempts.

Game, Blouses also got to the free throw line at a much higher rate, getting 20 shots - making 16 of them - compared to just 8 for their opponents. Carmelo Anthony lead that charge, getting to the line 8 times (converting 5), on his way to 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists.

Patrick Ewing added an unusual triple double - 18 points, 12 rebounds, and 13 blocks - and Scottie Pippen scored 21.

Instruments of Destruction got 20 points and 11 rebounds from Karl Malone and double-doubles from Witt Chamberlain (16 points, 11 rebounds) and John Stockton (10 points, 15 assists).

Final Score: Game, Blouses 112, Instruments of Destruction 98

    (6) SEXY TRAIN (3) vs. (1) tom's new shells (3)

Game 7: SEXY TRAIN at tom's new shells

Four in a row proved too tall a task for both teams in this series.

Tim Duncan and David Robinson dominated the paint, and SEXY TRAIN ran over tom's new shells, leaving no doubt in an emphatic game seven road win.

Duncan scored 16 points, grabbed 18 rebounds, and dished out seven assists. Robinson scored 20 and grabbed 14 rebounds. Those two helped SEXY TRAIN grab a 65-45 edge on the glass, and helped to limit tom's new shells to just 40.2% shooting from the floor.

SEXY TRAIN also got 20 points from LeBron James. And, they clearly made the right half-time adjustments, holding tom's new shells to just 10 points in the pivotal third quarter, Plus, the scored momentary bragging rights to ALL CAPS over the undercapitalized.

tom's new shells got 18 points and 9 assists from Kevin Durant, and 14 points and rebounds from Dirk Nowitzki, but that wasn't quite enough to stave off elimination for a fourth straight game.

Final score: SEXY TRAIN 115, tom's new shells 91
