Isn't that how an auction typically works?

 

i think that's why inty was going to post the high bid after 24 hours and then everyone has 24 hours to make a new bid accordingly. i think this is more like a silent auction than a yelly auction. maybe.

If we were all in the same room, we wouldn't need 24 hours per. It'd be much different. I prefer pm bids for a few reasons

1) another strategy level
2) it makes me feel important
3) I feel more confident I won't miss or overlook a bid if they are all in my inbox

A point of clarification.

In the event of a tie (two GMs bidding the same amount), the tie shall be given to the GM currently higher on the auction list. The list shall rotate, with a GM falling to the bottom after the team they put up for auction is purchased.

So, tom wins tiebreaker against everyone on the Celtics, but them drops top the very bottom on the Lakers.

This auction format certainly adds a level intrigue missing from previous drafts.

i have a couple questions. if you have the high bid on the first day can you still bid more on the second day? what if there's a tie in the bidding?

Excellent questions.

If you are the high bidder on day one, you can increase your bid on day two. If no one exceeds your day one bid, though, I'll you the team at the day one bid price. because I'm a nice guy.

In the event of a tie, the tie-breaker goes to the GM higher on the auction list. Once you've nominated a team and that team is sold, you go to the bottom of the auction list.

So, currently, on the Lakers, the Tiebreaker order is Tunes > Lloyd > DLOTE > PG > Luigi > RX > PRENN > tom
For the Cavaliers, it'll be Lloyd > DLOTE > PG > Luigi > RX > PRENN > tom > Tunes

 

you guys I need to know how much I outbid for the Celtics because that wasn't really my plan and I thought they might go for higher than that I'm dying over here please help I can't live like this
