Arena's Favorite Baseball Player Tournament- Nominations closed, Tourney thread linked in final post

In the spirit of the highly successful basketball and football tournaments, the next tournament will be for baseball, since the season is coming up fast, as pitchers and catchers begin reporting today.

I expect we can probably have a 128 player field for this, but that number is fluid based on how many nominations we get.

The guidelines for posting nominations are pretty much the same as the previous tournaments:

No more than four nominations per post, and no back to back posting of nominations. Feel free to nominate more players after someone else has had a turn, though.

Nominations can be either current players or retired players. Whether current or retired, however, they all go into the same category in the end, making no distinction between the two.

Please post links to either wikipedia pages or some other profile page about the player. Its much easier to quickly get four pages for a single post of nominations than it is to search a list of over a 100 names

The final list will be edited at the discretion of the tournament host (Rogue...Jedi), though the list will be posted in this thread for any potential discussion or comments before the main tournament thread is created.

Finally, remember that this is a favorite player tournament, not necessarily greatest or best.

I'm not going to put a definite time limit on nominations. The end of nominations will be when nominations have slowed down significantly and we have a decent number for a tournament.
