We?re going by Australian time. It?s about three hours until September 19th here.

This is actually an official day (see here) and was created by a few guys in America. The Fan Fiction mods first thought of bringing it to JC and having a celebration in Fan Fic, but it seemed to catch on and went board-wide!

It just looks highly unprofessional.

If I'm not mistaken, it's a nod to Pirates of the Carribean wherein the categories are in ghost form and appear in mouseovers. Again, this isn't permanent and it's all in good fun.

I agree it does look highly unprofessional. But you can blame me. I don't think they changed the colors I chose and I never checked how they would look on the main page.

EDIT: Ooooh, I like Sapient's version of the colors much better than mine! Argh!
