    Hi Everyone,

Since we've decided WHEN we're coming, could we start planning the other details, like times and any additional activities? We've got a long drive, so nothing too early would be appreciated. And, we'd like to do something social with you all after the museum, too.

    Regards,
    M.

Well, since you'll be coming in to Cleveland on I-90...this opens up more possibilities.

As I mentioned (on your board) Cleveland has a Dave and Busters in Westlake (15-20 minutes from downtown)...that would solve both the "food concerns" as well as provide some "social time" AND, it's along the "hyper-space" route back to Detroit!

Mirax, you're the FF Event Coordinator...does this sound good to you?

Dave & Busters sounds fun to me, Krash. I'm fairly certain our other members will agree, too. But, it's your turf, so even though I am Detroit's EC, I don't want to speak for your event. :)

    Regards,
    M.

Ok Cleveland...any problems with going to Dave and Busters following the WRHS event?

Mirax, what kind of drive-time are you looking at, and when do you think you guys could arrive in Cleveland? We originally had a time of NOON (for Pittsburgh to arrive)...would 1-2pm be better? That way, we can agree on a time when we all can meet at WRHS(or neutral site?)

Dave and Busters sounds fine to me. :D

I'm originally from Toledo. I know that Toledo is about 2 hours from Cleveland. And Detroit about another 1 hour, Geoff. But Mirax might be able to answer more exactly.

Yes, 3 hours sounds pretty accurate. Let me check with my folks for our ETA. I think that 1PM would probably work. And, meeting at the museum sounds fine as well.

Cindy at Dave and Busters there is a two player fully-looking podracer game...it looks like Anakin's podracer and you get to use it just like a real podracer but without getting killed...it is a two player game so you can play AGAINST another person in podracing!

If I could come on the 5th, I'd have to be back in Kent and in a suit by like 6:30p... May 17th is a nice solid tentative for me...

Em, Ah okay, what I thought, but I wasn't really sure. They had that game in Vegas at the Luxor. I did pretty bad there... [face_plain] But I still had fun! (And at $1.25 per game, it better be! ;))

The single player version at Treasue Island was only $1. A rip-off in my opinion though. Gimme Pac-Man and a couple quaters anyday.

Yes, they've got the 2 player podracer game, and 4 Star Wars Trilogy: the arcade game...along with some really cool games.

For those of you who haven't been there before, bring some extra money and get the "Powercard"...it's how you buy points to pay for all the games. They don't take quarters or tokens...and the card is re-chargable. The games can get a little expensive, so be mindful of how much you want to spend...but they do have some great games!

Detroit, do you want to meet @ WRHS...then we all drive out to Dave and Busters...then you guys can "hyperspace" back home?

Sounds fine to us, Krash. We'll meet you at the museum at 1PM. We're all looking forward to it!

    Regards,
    M.

PS - None of you are costuming, correct?

As far as I can tell...NO! Not many of us have costumes to begin with...plus other concerns?

Just come in regular clothes...and we'll keep things simple.

I still haven't decided if I want to go in costume. Probably not though.

Hey, my teacher gave me his extension, so we should stop by to see/bug him. Please?

You know what...go ahead and dress up! That goes for anyone from Cleveland as well. I'd recommend a change of clothes for Dave and Busters...wouldn't want anyone messing up thier costume running around playing games.

Definitely street clothes for D&Bs! We'd just like the chance to costume and get pics with the Starfighter! You know us costumers, any chance, we'll take it!

    Regards,
    M.
