Arthur Widmer, special effects pioneer, dead @ 92

    Arthur Widmer, the man responsible for, among other things, the blue-screen compositing process, passed away late last month of cancer at the age of 92. If not for Widmer's work, many of the films we now enjoy, including the Star Wars series, would not have been possible.
