Okay, so I think chips, pub and a few drinks is the way its gonna be. I'm happy with that!


How about the 1st of December? It's a Friday, and I'll be in party mood (my birthday is the next day) so I like it. It's also a couple of weeks notice...it could technically be our "Official" "FanForce" Christmas/Saturnalia/Yule "Meet".

Ahhhh...that date's already causing me a bit of conflict- I've got my high school reunion and my work Xmas party both on that same night But I like the idea of a Christmas meet...I'll shout you a nice big slice of cake for your birthday, or if cake is not immediately procurable, a drink of some variety

 

Dec 1 works fine for us, but if that's not good for other people then any other date in that vicinity should be okay as well.

I went to an all boys private school, and we have 'old boys dinners.' It's incredibly pretentious and ghastly... So ghastly...

 

I'm considering avoiding my five year reunion for exactly that reason.

It's actually a one year reunion- which seems kinda pointless- but since there are only 60 people my year level, I should probably go to help boost the numbers. 'Old boys dinners' sound so...British..."Ah, jolly good, Keef! There's a good lad, pass the ale and apple sauce before we head out for a spot of rugby and lacrosse..."

 

Don't joke, my old school is such a monarchist haven I wouldn't put it past them.

Weeeel, as I'd love you to be there Ms 88, perhaps, if people are pliable, we should try for Sunday instead? Does that work better?

 

I'm good for Sunday, long as it's OK with everyone else. $2.50 public transport, plus yum cha on Sundays...

I get to vote for the first time on Saturday...and then I'm going to court for jury duty the week after.

Sunday is cool for me, a nice coffee and some eatables... A yum cha would be cool too, and it's a sociable eating set up. Shark Fin Inn is a nice one, cheapish also.

Oh, and my all boys private schools were mainly rich farmers, or rich townies. No poncy talk, just a lot of egotism and football players.

 

Sunday works for me.
