Okay, here's the details about the One Man Star Wars Show:

    Hmmm, pricey-ish!

I'm going to start saving now :p

So have your bridesmades gotten over the issues with the dress, while helping your mother refine the guest list?

Luckily, I've decided to never get married. It's also a lot harder to get married when you don't have a boyfriend, and the way I'm going, I'm never going to get a boyfriend. Although the removilist that came to take my stuff this morning was cute!

Yep, all my stuff is on it's way to Melbourne. The car left at 7.30am this morning, and majority of my rubbish has just left - like seconds ago!

Oh, it also means 'calm down' as well as 'easy'! Bonus! :p
As long as you don't start Force-choking anyone, it'll be all fine :D

All the good stage shows have suddenly come at once in 2007. I've already got tickets to see Evanescence and Miss Saigon, and am planning on seeing Phantom...and of course I can't stay away from this. I'm going to be broke. Broke but happy.

Nat, are you arriving this Friday or next Friday?

I'll be in town this Friday. I arrive at 4.50pm on Thursday! Yay!

Did someone mention shows? I love musical theatre! Where, when and how much?

Miss Saigon AND Phantom of the Opera are coming to Melbourne in 2007.

Miss Saigon's in March/April, not sure about Phantom. The One-Man Star Wars show is on the 4th, 5th and 6th of April, which is awesome cos the 4th is my birthday :)

As for cost...ouchies for the musicals. Jessie provided the link to the SW one, which is $38 adult, $34 concession.

I know how ouch musicals are. I saw Wicked when I was in London back in Sept, and that cost me $125 for A reserve seats, and even then I I still had a restricted view of the stage. I saw We Will Rock You as well, and I could have seen a lot more if I had the money. It also cost me $145 to see The Boy From Oz last year.

The only muscial I've seen was the Producers, and that was a preview :p I like them, but can't justify them! I wish I could though.

Yes, where are they showing? Or should I just go on the Ticketmaster website?

BTW, I'm here! Yes, I am now in Melbourne.

Muggy? I just hate the rain, and the fact that I wasn't at the cricket at the WACA. I missed my Warrior boys take out the South Aussies in two days :( Never mind. They'll be here in March.

I also got my job at Middle Brighton, but I'm not the head cashier, which is disappointing. I'll give it a go for now.

Right, that's it. I need to get out and be sociable. Any suggestions?

It helps if I had friends over here. I don't know anyone but my cousin...

    Well, you're no help.

Maybe I'll just go to the movies by myself. I'm pretty good at doing things by myself.

    I SAW THAT! RARR!

I mean, ahem. Sorry about not being as welcoming as we should, Nat. We not the greatest at socialising sometimes!

Right: people! Let's get a move on.

I am, unashamedly, broke at the moment (or at least very close to) so I propose a picnic in the city gardens. Maybe even some kind of BBQing thing (with vegie option, should Dan grace us with his presence :p)

If I said 12pm February the 10th/11th, in the city (possibly treasury gardens), bring a plate of food to share and something to drink?

    What say you, people? RARR!

11th would be better because I work Saturdays, but it sounds like a good idea.

I've got the Evanescence concert on the Saturday, so Sunday would probably be better...but I only get my roster on Thursday, so I probably won't know till then...but sounds good :)

Ok. So I only just came to this thread; and only just read the first page explaining what this is, so this is a bit late.

But just out of curiosty, did anyone else go to Big Day Out?? If you did, what did you see??
