As ROTS approaches, which film do you like more?

I ahve to say TPM becaue we are introduced into a whole new brand of SW and almost all new characters. We see Obi-Wan for the first time in 22 years only to be a padawan learner. Everything is new, yet old, and is awesome. PLus it was produced a lot better than AOTC.

TPM was supposed to be an introduction, AOTC is a second chapter (same as ESB to ANH).

 

Even though it's losing in the poll, I can't say enough good things about TPM. AOTC is my least favorite SW episode. All that stands out for me are Anakin's scenes on Tatooine.

 

AOTC: A littler more adventure, a little better plot concept (though not better dialogue), and a little better CG work.

 

AOTC cause you see anakin drifting closer to the dark side.

Hmm, no real preference, I voted for TPM only because of how much it meant to me as a fan. I actually have absolutely no preference, I just love them both. There are certainly my favorite parts about any given SW film... in the case of AOTC I absolutely made my decision that Yoda is my favorite character in the saga. So that was sweet. But the podrace is one of my favorite sequences anywhere, I saw it so many times but every time it was just exhilirating. I love Darth Maul and that saber fight, but I love the battle on Geonosis at the end of AOTC. Each film really is just so awesome and both part of the overall six chapter arc, so I can't really pick one...

 

AOTC for me. I thought the plot was more direct and solid. I also still think that a lot of time in TPM was wasted on the pod race thing, and I'll always skip that when i watch it.

 

Attack of the Clones

It's my favourite of the saga.

 

I like 'em equally.

I'm inclined to say AotC simply because of all the Fett goodness in that film, but since I haven't seen it in a while, I'll decline to answer for the moment. I will say that TPM is better with each viewing however.

 

So far I like Attack of the Clones more. But it will change once ROTS comes out. Which I have to say this tuseday I'm going to sit down and watch AOTC's again. I watched TPM a week ago, know it is time for AOTC. I will then see ROTS. Once I see ROTS I will go and watch the OT.

One of the greatest cinematic experiences I've ever had in a theater.

When I put the DVD in my player from time to time, I STILL get a feeling of enchantment and excitement. There's not many films I can say that about.

 

TPM, better editing, better duels, better score and better acting.

 

AOTC - because of the clones, and the Fett's, and Master Kenobi.

 

I prefer AOTC. It just feels better to me. Less Jar Jar, Dooku, and more Obi Wan make this one a winner. Plus, I don't mind the love story at all. It's not bad, it's different.

 

Attack of the Clones, definitely.

 

the phantom menace, imo. while many do not like it, i thoroughly enjoy it. of course, i wasn't too fond of it at first, but every time i watch it, i grow to like it more and more. the maul-obiwan/qui gon was an incredible scene, too.

 

Attack of the Clones. It was more of what we were used to seeing in a SW film. Also it's the movie that ties all the others together.

 

i like TPM, but love AOTC. it just feels more like star wars to me for some reason.

 

as much as i loved qui-gon and maul, i have to say that i liked atoc more, mainly due to anakin and obiwan's characters. in tpm, anakin was a obnoxious little kid, but in aotc we see him kick butt and start turning to the dark side. in tpm, obi-wan was the sidekick and lacked character, aside from the occational wise-crack, but in aotc he more developed.
